The first - A second chance. I was very ill, and had to have a surgery in my lungs, about two months after I was born. I was a healthy and happy child, after that :)
The best - A trip to Europe, including a month in London, that I extended for some more months. One of the best times of my life!! :)

I don't remember my first present but my favorite was the new Honda I bought myself as a combination of birthday and Christmas gift when I turned 40, two years ago. My birthday is 4 days before Christmas and I thought I deserved the new car I wanted...I still have it and still love it.

I don't remember the very first one but it was probably a homemade or redressed doll of some sort. I was born just before we got into ww2. As a child, my favorite was a "magic skin" doll. She had a rubber body stuffed with something & a composition head, hands& feet. I loved her & kept her untill well in my adulthood. She was lost in flooding from a hurricane.
Since I've been grown, my very best present was a daughter, born Dec. 23,1965 in England. Need I say more?

The first one I am nor sure, but likely it was a few crib toys, and maybe even warm pajamas from a practical grandmother. My father was going to college on the GI bill, and working full time with a family of four. The first one that blew my mind was a record player, monotone, not stereo. It was awesome to chose my own tunes at six years old. I inherited my cousins 45's when he got a nice stereo, and have been a music lover all my life. Second favorite was a pair of real cowgirl boots! I now own a stereo with enough kick to offend my neighbors, but I restrain myself. I also still have cowgirls boots!

A little battery operated robot that actually walked. In the 1960s, that was cutting edge technology. :)
Favorite--a little yarn doll and a pair of mittens. My dad was dying in the veterans hospital and some lady volunteers bought and mailed gifts to the children of patients so we'd have something from our fathers on Christmas morning. That act of kindness has stayed with me through the years.

I remember my 2nd Christmas. Got a stuffed teddy, and named her Suzie (after the mouse on "Chez Helene" -- a French/English show we had here up in Canada ages gone by.)
I remember the relationship of my armpit to the edge of the couch, and my brother kind of sneering a "so what?" sort of look at me. It didn't phaze me for one bit. I was running around my grandmother's livingroom happier than a lark in spring.
That was my most favorite Christmas present of all time.

The earliest gift I can remember was a toy guitar that was hot pink. The best gift is my boyfriend who I get to enjoy everyday with. Though I didn't meet him on Christmas or anything, just spending time with him everyday is so wonderful and feels like a gift.

My first Christmas present: my 8th month of life (I was born in April).
My earliest memorable present was an electric train set. I loved trains. I guess you could say that was my favorite.

A foot and leg massager...I got that last year. I'd never received a Christmas present before then...
It would probably also be my favourite :)
