and (assuming you believe such things are a choice) at what age do you think most people make this choice? Did you talk to any of your friends about whether or not you should choose homosexuality?

great question, but they will never give you a straight answer.
lol! no pun intended!

anyone who says their sexuality was a choice and they chose to be straight is repressing their homosexuality. it's logical:
if you chose to be straight, you must have the same feelings of attraction to the opposite sex, or there would be no choice to make!

It's not as if both are a choice. You are born one way (straight/sober/not a child molester, whatever) but then you choose to deviate when things don't "feel" right. You could choose to deal with the reason, which is usually an absent or abusive parent, or some other trauma, or you can follow the new norm and get involved in a lifestyle that gets you attention that you didn't have before and before you know it, you're addicted and struggling to justify it on Y!A.

Cannot assume such a thing is a choice. It isn't. I would be like choosing to have been born.

People only say that sexuality is a choice when they are bashing homosexuality. No one ever chose to be straight so therefore no one ever chose to be gay. Either everyone chose their sexuality at some point or its a natural inclination. Homosexuality is a natural variant of human sexuality. It is not wrong or immoral. Love is love is love. The only reason that ppl are against homosexuality is due to fear. They may try to cover it up with the bible and such... but really it all boils down to fear of the unfamiliar. The bible says a lot of things that people no longer follow today.. People just tend to pick and chose the bits that support their belief systems and justify their fears and ignore others.

No! I was tooo young, I just was strait, I never questioned it, or knew another way existed until long after my 1972 High School graduation. I am still strait.
I don't understand the homosexual side of love, even though I would like to because three of my dearest friends are homosexual men. I am female, and have deep brotherly affection for all of them, BUT, I will never be able to understand the concept!
Or , sorry , the choice?

Gender definition is a social-psychological prospect. You could either been born with the definition or develop it during the stages of life such as school age, teenage, etc.

I never chose. I never was atracted to the same gender.I don`t claim to know how someone feels that is. I can`t put myself in their place and say that its a choice but I believe that most are . Maybe having a bad relationship or being mistreated causes someone to look at some one of the same sex. I don`t know or understand it.

People are born male or female. When they get old enough to make their own decisions, then they might sin if they so choose. Perhaps their sin will be homosexuality or adultry or whatever. I choose not to sin as a born again Christian. Therefore I will not give up my freedom to stay straight as God created me.

I never gave homosexuality a thought as an option. There was always something special about girls and later women. I just knew they had something special to offer too.

i say they make that choice when they're in their teens. i've decided to be straight for a long time now, but i've never talked to anyone about it. i probably would have if i was choosing to be gay.

I considered choosing to be straight, but instead after seeing the great benefits (vacation packages, coupons, etc) that were available in the Gay Agenda, the monthly issue, I decided it was right for me!

Now I'm choosing to join the Left Handed Agenda!
