Of course they can, but without absolute proof of anything we are bound to run into a snag along the way. And of course, arguments ensue

I agree with you. Opinions are not neutral. There are in fact wrong opinions. I still think people are entitled to their own but that doesn't make the right. Like the opinion that homosexuality is wrong and immoral. People are entitled to that belief but it is in fact a wrong option b/c it leads to the discrimination against and repression of others.

Oddly, I do not. Opinions are not wrong. Actions can be hideous, and contemptable, but what you think or believe is yours and yours alone. It should be held in the highest place of honour within you, regardless of what anyone else thinks about it.
Hitler's opinion of the Jewish people is something I find to be abominable, ridiculous, and utterly incomprehensible. I believe that he had NO right or reason to kill, torture, or even move Jews out of their homes. I believe that his death was a victory for the earth, society, and all peoples. But I believe that he had a right to his opinion, and that, for him, it was right. His reality was his. My reality is mine. My opinions are all right - in my reality. Your opinions are all right - in your reality. Just because the masses don't agree with me doesn't make me wrong, or it could make you wrong too. I hold my beliefs and opinions too dear to let anyone else condemn them.
Some of my opinions are popular, some are not. This is probably one of the latter. But my beliefs and opinions are sacred to me. And if mine are sacred to me, and if I believe, as I do, that all people are equal, then I must allow all other people to hold their opinions as sacred to them as I hold mine. Even if they're wrong.

Absolutely. My own opinions in the past have been wrong. Some opinions I have now may even be wrong - but if I thought that now, then It would no longer be my opinion.

My first thought was, "Of course opinions can be wrong." If I say, "In my opinion, it's 85 degrees out there," anybody with a thermometer can prove that I'm wrong.
Seemed like a no-brainer, until I saw that some people answered that opinions *can't* be wrong. Well, that's their opinion, so I guess they can't be wrong. In their opinion, that is. Which can't be wrong, in their opinion. Which can't be wrong, in their opinion. Which can't be wrong, in their opinion...

Well sure. Think Archie Bunker. Opinions are like scientific facts, believed by the person behind them until someone else proves them wrong.

Opinions are neither right nor wrong, they are simply another individuals perspective, whether they are right or wrong depends on the person making the decision and their moral outlook, although there are also opinions that are based in fact, which by default would make them correct, not necessarily "right"
