Until the sixteenth century all Christians were Catholic. The Orthodox are just Catholics in schism...or it could be all Catholics are Orthodox in schism. Since their beliefs are nearly identical, it doesn't really matter.
In the sixteenth century protestants broke off from the rest of the Church. They excommunicated all Catholics and they also excommunicated each other as they all viewed only themselves as being correct.
The Catholic Church would agree with all of the above, though it may mean it in slightly different and older ways than you profess.
In 325 representatives of every Christian community came together and put the following together as what is required to be believed to be Christian, as necessary for a correct understanding of salvation.
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God. Born of the Father before all ages. God of God, Light of Light, true God of true God. Begotten, not made, of one essence with the Father. By whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven. And He became flesh by the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary: and was made man. He was also crucified for us, suffered under Pontius Pilate, and was buried. And on the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. And of His kingdom there will be no end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father. Who together with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, and who spoke through the prophets. And one holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. And I await the resurrection of the dead. And the life of the world to come. Amen.
All Catholic and Orthodox churches say or sing this every Sunday. When they say Catholic, the word means all embracing or according to the whole. To be a Catholic means to hug all, to embrace all, and to only find the truth in the whole and not to break into little parts and claim to have the whole truth. To be apostolic means to be restricted to that which was handed on by the apostles, which includes the bible but also includes other parts of the "apostolic tradition," and includes art (Luke painted), music, services, beliefs, practices and ways of doing things. It also includes apostolic succession (See Acts 2 on the ordination of Mathias) where each Catholic bishop can directly trace his ordination directly to the apostles and hence to the choices of Jesus. The one Church means that all the little churches are not allowed to be independent, there is but one body.
So by your definition you are close to what the Christians in 325 said is the minimum and in intention you appear to meet their intent.

I was raised Catholic and there are a few things I don't agree with..the praying to saints and the position the catholic church places Mary. But the Catholic church does hold to most of what you have listed (depending on who you talk to). There are many "in house" arguments between different sects of Chrstianity ( baptists, calvanists, catholics, pentacostals..), but the basic tenents of the belief are the same. Keep reading your bible, talk to people and you might see that lots of the different explanations will be in agreement, except being looked at from a slightly different perspective. What the teacher probably didn't tell you was that Darwin himself said it required "Faith" to believe in the Theory of Evolution. You hear more about evolution, in my opinion, because much of the funding is denied to those who seek to prove a different point of view. Don't let a teacher intimidate you if you hold to your christian beliefs..Eventually you may be able to attend a christian school/college and you can here the other side. Long time ago, there was a teacher who "broke the law" by teaching evolution in class (Stokes trial?)..Now, things have changed in that teachers are not allowed to teach creationism. As an example..The Bible says that the universe leaped into being by the word of God..in other words.. it just appeared out of nothing.. Scientists say that is hogwash.. Now..consider what the Evolutionists say..after all their scientific study..they said the universe "leaped into being" with the Big Bang Theory..it just appeared out of nothing..who is right? Search for the truth and you will find it. Someone once said.."You go to college to lose your religion and then your virginity".. Hang tight!

Think of Christianity as similar to a big umbrella. Under this umbrella are three main groups--Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Protestant. There are similarities between all three and there also some major differences. These three groups can be broken down a bit further with the Prostestant group (I think) having the most sub-groups. (It would take a lot more time and space for me to go more in depth on this.) In reading through your list of beliefs, I see you have some of the basics of the Christian faith and some that are particular to the Catholic faith. While it is good that you know this much, it is more important to find out if God would consider you a good person and a Christian. Check out the link below to see where you stand---

From what you have written you have indicated that either you are not born again (a christian, someone spiritually made new by your faith in Christ) or you are a christian who has not had any biblical education or spiritual guidance, and is very mislead. First let me just correct you if I may by saying that Jesus was not born on Christmas, he was born 6 months after his cousin John and that falls in September/october; it's all right there in the bible. Also, being baptized does not forgive anyone of any sins. That is a false teaching and water baptism does not give anyone access to God or heaven. Being a Catholic has nothing to do with being a christian. Being a christian has nothing to do with religion.
What does it take to become a christian? or to gain eternal salvation? Romans 10:9 Believe in your heart AND confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Son of God and was raised from the dead. That's all. It does not say you have to be baptized in water, it is by the Holy Spirit that you are baptized. Matthew 3:11 says when John was baptizing in water it was just a picture of the new baptism that was coming through Jesus. John was just ushering in Jesus and His ministry and a kind of baptism that is done without physical works that we might boast about. He baptizes with Holy Spirit and fire. You can not lose your salvation ever; it is a done deal no matter what. It is all by faith not works. The proof of your spiritual conversion shows through your acts (works) and by your conduct after you are born again. There is nothing you can do to be saved accept to accept Christ by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead.

I am a Christian, but sounds like you're more Catholic. I agree with 1,3,4,5,6,7. Christ was God's Son, born of the Virgin Mary, died on the cross for our sins. Then was resurected on the third day. The Bible is the Word of God.
Being baptised doesn't save you from your sins, it is just a represintation of it. The Holy Spirit might make someone talk in tounges, but have never had this happen to me, nor encountered it in church. Christ was not actually born on December 25th, it is just the day that was picked to celebrate his birth.
Hope this helps.

Like someone else said, alll Catholics are Christians but not all Christians are Catholics. All Christians believe in all of the things that you listed. Catholics are a denomination of Christianity. You are either a Catholic or a protestant but either way you are Christian. Protestants are also divided up into different kinds of churches, like Uniting, Baptist and Church of Christ. Each of these different kinds of churches, including Catholic churches, tend to focus on different ways of worship however they all have the same or very similar beliefs. You need to find the church that is best suited to you and where you can grow in God.

There are many Christian denominations, and not even all of those agree on the 10 things mentioned on your list.
You don't pray to Mary, right? You don't confess your sins to some strange man in a cubbyhole, right? And you don't think you're holier-than-thou,(not all) right? Then if you said no to these questions, then you are NOT a Catholic. Just a simple Christian young woman.

I believe your are a christian, but i think you could be confussed about a few minor details. Going to a local christian church could clear up the difference of religons. Remember, that reading your Bible can help weed out the wrong information.

Well...let me correct you on three things:
1. No one speaks in tongues anymore....that was a gift given by God Himself back in biblical times...not done in this day and age!! None of us are worthy enough to speak in tongues!
2. There is NO SUCH THING as being baptized will forgive and wash away all your sins...the blood of Christ already did that for you!! Being baptized is a step of obedience...displaying to all who watch that you profess christianhood and that you believe in Jesus Christ as your savior.
3. Holy water is for the birds....the only one HOLY enough to bless water or any substance (anything) is God / Jesus Himself!! A priest is a sinner just as you and I are sinners!! They are NO better or worse than anyone else!!
The names are ADAM & EVE....
Stay with christianity, & not catholicism dear!!
God Bless!! ( :
