Nope, you just need more practice. Keep drinking and make a conscious effort to pace yourself. Soon you will gain experience and be able to control yourself better. You will also learn to suppress the vomit and hold your liquor. Keep doing what you are doing and you will be just fine. Your friends that you have now will probably not be your friends much longer because you are correct about everything changing when you get to college. You will have a whole lot more friends who enjoy drinking, unlike your current group of friends and you will be in a much better situation.
Good times!!!

Well, it sounds like you should probably think about reining in your alcohol intake.
If you try to do that, consciously, such as by not accepting drinks, and you still end up drinking, then I would say it could be a problem.
A lot of people drink a lot when they are young, but some people are more susceptible to becoming alcoholics.
It is difficult because I know social activities often revolve around drinking.
However, if your friends mainly party and drink, another option is to find activities that do not involve that, and friends that do not prioritize alcohol.
It is not healthy to be doing that, even if you are young and resilient. It will catch up with you, and ultimately could ruin your life if you are not careful.

Dude, yes... Also on the way to some trouble like being suspended. Drinking isn't exactly welcome or encouraged on college campus.
Drinking so much that you throw up doesn't build up your tolerance. Drink only what you can hold down, and perhaps little less than that, so that you can walk.
Did it ever occur to you that you disgust your friends with your vomit? Did it also occur to you that you riun their evening? I was NOT happy when one of my friends got into that mode when we all went dancing to a club. We were dancing and having fun, but then we noticed that he hangs around the bathroom all the time. Then he got out to get some fresh air and started puking all over the place. Police started looking at him attentively. So we had to get out of there way before the dancing ended and walk him home. We couldn't even get a cab... He was puking all over tha place and saying pathetic stuff.
That's what it looks like on the other side.

Its called self control, and setting parameters for your drinking. Its not all about getting wasted, but that realization comes with time. Your blacking out is not a good sign and you need to look long range, as to is this what I want for me? You dont build up tolerance you build up your liver for shutting down. Im not lecturing or trying not too, just you are on the way to college, and the rest of your life and a great career, dont throw it away. Lost a dear friend of mine this past month to liver failure I have known since HS, she sounded just like you at 17, she died at 40 years old.

Do the letters AA mean anything to you? Just kidding I agree with the others who say to stop when you feel good. No need to compete or TRY to impress others with the amount of alcohol you can drink. It's not cute when you're pissy drunk and throwing up everywhere and neither is "hooking up with a lot of people." Pace yourself and drink responsibly. Youth is not an excuse for drinking ignorantly.

You have to build up a tolerance
2 things you can do:
Eat before you go. I mean eat a big meal BEFORE you drink.
Drink Slowly. Dont slam shooters or see how many Jose's you can swallow in a 10 minute period. One other thing. Until your body gets used to drinking. Don't go out on the dance floor and do an aerobics!!!

Hmm, sounds like you are abusing it rather than enjoying it. I love a good drink as much as the next person, but throwing up, blacking out, and needing assistance with walking isn't fun and just makes you look like a dumb ****.
Just take it easy - getting pIssed at that level isn't any fun for anyone...except the blokes that you wouldn't touch with a barge pole sober, crawling down your pants

I use to be like this, and I would tell you to slow your drinking. Don't drink so much just because everyone else is drinking fast take you time and enjoy the buzz... That's I have tried to work on, because I was the same exact way, and until something bad happens, you won't sstop. So lay back......

everyone has those nights once in a while, but it's not okay for that to happen on a regular basis. take it slow - don't gulp down eight drinks in ten minutes, and pay attention to how much you're drinking. if you get sloppy at six beers, then drink six beers. it's fun to get drunk, but who wants to be hunched over the toilet all night? know your limits and you'll have more fun and less regrets (and your friends probably won't get as pissed at you!)

There's no reason for you to go beyond what you can tolerate. I've never gotten sick from drinking because I paid attention to what I was drinking and how much. It's simple. When it starts to hit you..stop drinking. Easy. Then if you start to get sober, drink.
