Hi
Do you know where some of the homeless hang out near you, this Christmas and during the cold weather would you take them sandwiches and a hot drink, or just pretend they don't exist?

Hi Wikkedmo
Oh how I envy you, keep looking after the animals and your lifestyle, you have things that money can't buy (to quote a Charlie Pride song) all the best Ray. X

i live in texas the nearest town to me is 50 miles away, & the population is just barley at 200.
we don't have any homeless ppl here, but if a family is going through toogh times everyone pitches in and helps. i can honestly say we do not have any one who is homeless here. but i do go out and take extra hay to the cattle at night. does this count? my neighbors are cows, & coyotes.( i live in the country.) 200 people is a big town to me.& i do not like towns.

I know you said homeless correct ? So why do So many of the answer's Just assume because a person Is homeless They are on drugs or are alcoholic's or Violent. But To answer Your question No I would Not pretend the do not exist. Here were i live I am Familiar with the Local Food Bank's emergency shelters and soup Kitchen's and i would hope that I could Share this Information with Them.So that they could have more then a temporary solution of just a one time sandwich and hot drink on a cold weather day or night.Don't assume Homelessness is Only for the drug and addicted and even then that doesn't make them Bad people it make there choice's different than what we would choose for Ourselves

Yes. I belong to an organization that takes food and hygiene care products to the homeless shelter in our city. My friend said last year, her friends collected money and went to McDonald's, got 100 hamburgers and fed the homeless that could not get into the homeless shelter, before it was full. She said they could have probably used at least 25 more burgers.

There's a need everywhere you go. Especially in Florida, where they travel in the winter.

I don' t know where they are, just moved here. But there are groups that do that. Doing that as an individual can be dangerous, so no, would not do it by myself.

I do many other things to help people out and supporting soup kitchens, where many homeless eat, is one thing I do.

It would be best perhaps if they went to the shelters and had a hot meal, or perhaps you and several people together could do a luncheon in a park, but please, be safe! Perhaps you can have some blankets donated to you and give them to the people. You have a kind heart, thank you!

Saw a thing about Crisis on telly tonight and thought about volunteering. Probably won't until next year though.

Sure I would. I have more than once given a homeless person money or other items. I see nothing worng with sharing what we have with others.

Stephen you shouldn't "assume" homeless people drink or do drugs. Many do not.

Christmas Day, our city has a big Christmas lunch for those who are less fortunate. If for some reason, they couldn't help, I would.

there's some homeless who hang out around my area, once my mum gave them some food and drink; but i guess i would not, because they might be weaponed and try hurt us by the way most of them are drunk and if you ask them why they have become homeless, they will answer they did because they were drunk most of the time and used to beat their wives and kids. that's my point and that's why i wouldn't feed the beggars.
