Romans 12:2

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Godspeed.

And now i'm going to instruct you the main fantastic way: If I talk in tongues of adult men and of angels, yet have not love, i'm basically a solid gong or a clanging cymbal. If I particularly have the present of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all understanding and if I particularly have a faith which could flow mountains, yet have not love, i'm no longer something. If I provide up all I very own and resign my physique to the flames, yet have not love, I benefit no longer something. Love is affected person; love is form; it would not envy; it would not boast; it extremely is no longer proud. it extremely is no longer rude; it extremely is no longer self-searching for; it extremely is no longer extremely angered; it retains no checklist of wrongs. Love would not savour evil yet rejoices with the certainty. it consistently protects, consistently trusts, consistently hopes, consistently perseveres. Love never fails. yet the place there are prophecies, they'll bypass away; the place there are tongues, they are going to be stilled; the place there is understanding it extremely is going to bypass away. For all of us understand partly and we prophesy partly, yet while perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. while i replaced right into a baby, I talked like a baby, i presumed like a baby, I reasoned like a baby. once I became a guy, I placed infantile procedures at the back of me. Now we see yet a unfavourable mirrored image, then we will see head to head. Now i understand partly; then I shall understand completely, whilst i'm completely prevalent. And now those 3 proceed to be: faith, desire and love, however the final of those is love. - I Corinthians, financial ruin 13

How about Philippians 1:6? "Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you . . ."

Congratulations on your confirmation. Even though Southern Baptists don't ordinarily observe this, I still would like to thank you for completing this program. We need more young people from all denominations to make a stand for God--the sooner, the better, agreed?

May you and all of your family have a wonderful Christmas this year!

How about this one:

(Psalm 83:18) 18 That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Or this one meant a lot to me when I first learned it, though I don't remember the priest liking it alot, Jesus' words:

(Matthew 23:8-9) Moreover, do not call anyone your father on earth, for one is your Father, the heavenly One. . .

Get an NIV, thats a great version many people use.

While youre at it, see if you can find where they practiced confirmations in the NT.

Ill save you some time, its not in there. Maybe you should switch churches.

Isn't it confirmation? Anyway, I like Romans 8:1-2

1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

That is the King James Version, but of course you would pick whatever version your church uses.

How about Psalm 85:8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak, For He will speak peace To His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly.

this verse says it all...

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit
