does anybody know how long your suppose to go to jail for drunk driving, i looked EVERYWHERE and cant find it!

hey thanks and no its not lindsey lohan. if youve ever read the book "That was Then, This is Now" then im defending mark to get outta jail. if you havent and now u would like to read it i just ruined the end for u lol.

The time depends on several things.
One is the first offense and was it aggravated.
An aggravated DWI is a felony. That can get you a up to a year in Jail. Misdemeanor will get you up to 6 months.
If you have had a previous DWI then the time goes up from there. In New Mexico, four DWI's will get you a felony charge.
Now, for the real world, attorneys will plea bargin with the district attorney for time served and probation.
They do this for a number or reasons, one being the system is inodated with cases and the district attorney's are over worked.

you need to look up the laws for your state. usually the DMV will have the offenses and jail time, fines etc clearly posted.
It would also help if you stated your state, so people would have a better idea. We have 50 and all are different.
