Hi Rose, there is a website just for your question: http://www.oncoffeemakers.com/best-coffee-makers.html. It can give you some insight into "best coffee makers".

Actually, it depends on a few factors, your budget, taste profile, skills and space available.

If you are looking for a trust worthy one that does not cost much, takes up little space and is high performance, Bunn GR10 has to be the one.

You just need to know 2 buttons to brew good coffee!:)

I've had several different types of coffee makers (drip, espresso, percolator, etc.), but my favourite is the French Press. It is very easy to use -- the coffee grounds should be fairly coarse, and then it's a simple procedure of pouring the water over the grounds, letting it infuse for 4 or 5 minutes, pressing the sieve down, and then the coffee is ready. The result is coffee that is rich and aromatic. Here is some information about it.

It would appear that you are asking about an automatic type, as you were not including flavor or other criteria. So I am providing a link below to a coffee maker that was very well received by the cupping industry.

I'll have to agree with redflag...French presses make the best coffee.

But, if you want an actual coffee pot, go with Cuisinart. Not too expensive and they make for a great cup of coffee.
