The office xmas party is the time of year when some people decide to act upon their emotions and tell the object of their affections that they like them. The girls spend weeks - and lots of cash - on the right outfit and the guys spend just as much time in front of the mirror practising their asking 'look' but is it all worth it? Will you be doing the asking this year or is there someone you're hoping will ask you? 'Ask' being ask if they'd like to go out sometime :)

I'm going to be staying well away from "the question" at Xmas parties. It just embarrasses me and the unfortunate guy. I intend to have a few drinks, so that i can tell what im doing but also have a good time. Best policy in my opinion.

That is really sad...spending all that money and effort...and for what?

Do NOT fish off the company pier unless you're willing to lose your job.

Go, be nice, shmooze with the boss (whatever), and go home. Don't make a scene. If you want to impress your boss, get a hard task done on time with little fuss.

much less high priced yet elegant......do you have a typical little black gown? bypass by way of a craft save alongside with Michaels and purchase a brilliant purple satin ribbon spool, sufficient to wrap around your waist or greater, and tie in a bow. Festive and exciting, black skinny slacks with black boots, black shell and purple blazer or sweater. Or, the two of the chiefly black with some patent leather-based sling black peep toe pumps and purple seize.
