So the other day I was talking to this guy from one of my classes, and I was telling him how I had gotten a B in the class, and therefore he should take it. Mainly thinking that if I got a B he probably would get that or better. Then he said, "you know you're smart too, you should stop putting urself down like that." And I didn't say anything back. I know he doesn't like me, which isn't really a worry of mine. But I don't understand why he would say that, I mean I don't get good grades like he does or like other ppl. it takes me ages to understand things, so why would he say that???

Maybe he thinks you spend too much of your time analyzing things and you should just move along.

I've read enough of your questions to form this opinion: You ARE smart. I don't know you well enough to say I'd want to date you if I were somewhere around your age, but I would probably want to get to know you a little better.

You need to be your own best friend. Like yourself more, and be confident in who and what you are. You also sound like a pretty good person. That's worthy of respect not only from guys and from your friends, but from you.

Oh, this isn't a criticism. I was pretty much like you when I was your age. Took me decades to outgrow it.

Hope it doesn't take you that long.

Because the guy probably has more confidence in you than you do. You might have daid stuff like that before in front of him so maybe that is what he thinks you think of yourself. So he is just trying to be a good person and help lift your confidence. Take it as a good thing and that someone does care.

Because it sounded like you were saying he should take the class, because it was so easy that even you could get a B.

Sounds like he's not talking about your grade. He's saying that you are smarter than you think you are, and/or he does not think of himself as smart.

btw, I've said much worse (by accident). Things like that are often legitimately misinterpreted because of poor wording.

he does have an intrest in you. from my perspective i think that he thinks you are a lil insecure about something. just have more courage and be confident and proud in what you do or have. i think he was flirting. thats a sign girl read between the lines!!!

He was probably just being a jerkass
I'm sure he knew he was going to get a bad grade so he was just preparing for the failure that he was going to have. It should be NO sweat off your sack homes

I think he just said it to be friendly. Don't over-analyze a simple comment like that.
