And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners and holding the Holy Bible in the air to be seen by men.

If I see you walking down the street holding the bible in the air, I would cross the street to get to the other side to avoid you.

I would not hate you, but would rather avoid any potential confrontation.

No, why would I? But I might think it was a little weird that you were holding a bible in the air.

No, these would be my Thoughts:

1. you a nut---not born-again
2. your Born-Again and a nut (haven't Learned Much Yet--decieved by satan)
3. Your Born-Again and on a Mission from GOD Almighty (you Know you are Doing what GOD Almighty Told you to do

Now---How will AnyBody Else "Discern" these things---without The Holy Spirit?

No I wouldn't hate you because you are no different than I am. I am a pagan and the bible, and other peoples beliefs are nothing to fear. I can talk and pray with anyone, because it is believed that the goddess is in the person so you respect it.

I would comend you on your devotion to carry the Bible with you. But no need to hold it up in the air, everyone can see you're holding a Bible.

I would be immediately annoyed. It's not about "you," it's about you as a symbol. Some people have had bad experiences with cops, so they hate all cops, but not the man in the uniform.

If you choose to go out in public to promote such a self-destructive philosophy, I will choose to be offended and feel invited to come talk to you about it.

Dont get me wrong but it seems to me you are implying in your question that you want to be hated. I f you truly are "living for Jesus" just do it and stop caring about criticism and start Doing instead of Talking. A lot of talking has been done and not much results.

Good luck to you. By the way I wouldnt hate you I would just think yo myself: "why is this person talking and not doing"?

Why should I?

I might quickly wonder if you're one of the many homeless people that have a direct pipeline to your deity, that wouldn't make me hate you.

Yelling at me that I'm going to hell if I don't believe exactly as you do might annoy me.

Nah, try harder.
