The most extensive form of communication among spies are predetermined coded radio frequencies. A spy is given by his handler 20 different radio frequencies. He also has been previously given code transfer words. Such as the word"love" would mean "location" etc. Then at a predetermined time, he transmits one or two code words on a certain frequency, and switches to a predetermined frequency for the next two words, and on and on, until the message is received. Frequently a piece of literature is used, each end of the communication has the same printing. A predetermined group of numbers are used, to disguise page, paragraph and word. Then the actual words are transmitted, by using only numbers.
