I think you mean iris, not pupil.

Its because the pigment in the iris is brown or black. Blue, gray and green eyes have little pigment and the colour is due to how light is scattered and reflected from the pigment -- just like why the sky is blue and why blue birds are blue.

Since there is no red, pink or yellow pigment, those colours don't occur.

I guess because it;s not in the human genes' and that's how we get our hair color and eye color' from our parents ; and their parents genes..I have red eyes sometimes' when i;ve been drinking for a day or two; but damn how i hate them damn hangovers,edit .not my pupils just the whites.

the concentration of the melanin in iris don't allow longer wave-length light to be reflected .
