I need help writing a letter to the Pope.

I mean, I don't know how to start it.

Like,

"Dear Pope, "

or is their a specific name for him besides Pope... I'm just kind of confused.

Any tips would be great!

Thanks.

A letter to the Pope should have the address of:

His Holiness Benedict XVI
Apostolic Palace
00120 Vatican City State, EUROPE

And the salutaion:

Your Holiness,
or
Most Holy Father,

Writing to the Pope is a good idea. I think if you are lucky, you will get a response from someone at the Vatican after your letter is received. You write to the Pope like you write to your friend or relative. You can say dear Holy Father or Dear Pope Benedict. I think he won't really mind. Just write from the heart and tell him what you want to say. I think he is like a good friend and good spiritual father so speak like a child does to her father and be respectful and send him your love.

He goes by Pope Benedict XVI... I also wouldn't start it off with Dear either, unless you know him personally, then you shouldn't have to worry about this subject matter, because it makes you sound like you have some sort of business proposal
