I had Gastric Bypass Roux en Y procedure done back in 2002. I weighed about 230lbs, 5'2" tall. After surgery I weighed 155lbs. I got pregnant in 2004 and had a beautiful daughter who weighed 5lbs 3oz (i hear small babies are common after surgery). I lost 10lbs in the beginning of my pregnancy. Ended up gaining 20 later on, then lost 20lbs when she was born! So having a baby actually helped me! LOL. But since then its like the weight just keeps creaping back! I'm at 172lbs now! I know its not a lot, and its still a looong way from where I started. But I have heard that doctors are now doing a LapBand surgery after having Gastric Bypass and gaining weight back. Has anybody had this done? What are the risks? Are they higher since I've already had the Bypass? Do insurances still cover this? Any information on LapBand (or any other Weight Loss Surgery) after Gastric Bypass Roux En Y would be a lot of help! THANK YOU! :)

#1, I did not ask for RUDE answers I was seeking REAL answers to my QUESTION. Not people to tell me to watch what I "cram" in my mouth!

#2, I exercise 5 days a week! 2 hours each day! Treadmill, LyfeCycle, AbLounge, BoFlex, Bikes, StairStepper & Weights.

#3, I eat very healthy! Fruits & Veggies whenever I need a snack. I have a 3 year old who needs to eat healty. I would NEVER want her to learn bad habits and have a weight problem. So i have to set a GOOD example.

#4, My entire family is prone to being on the bigger side. Very healthy, just bigger than most. We're not even considered MORBIDLY obese. We're just Big. So if you dont have any USEFUL info to tell me other than mean words. Don't answer please.

you made no mention of your diet or exercise routine..

if you have the genetic predisposition for easy weight gain then attempting to manage the weight through diet alone is impossible. medical study has already shown that those with the genetic predisposition can not accomplish this with out regular exercise. the body will adapt to a low calorie diet, the metabolic rate will decrease and eventually weight gain will occur with out regular exercise.

human beings nor any animal on this planet is designed to be sedentary. there is nothing but negative effects from a sedentary lifestyle even with a low calorie diet. if you don't like to exercise you better start because surgery is not the answer.

Music enables you to eat more. According to a study by the journal Psychology and Marketing, soft, classical tunes encourage someone to take time over your dinner, so you consume more meal. So, switch off – silence is likely to make you more aware of what you’re setting up your mouth.

It’s Friday brunch time and you just can’t stop going back intended for seconds. But hang on! Stop for a minute and suck on a supplementary strong mint. The flavour may put you off that 3 rd plate of chicken korma/roast beef/sushi medley.

Put a two litre water bottle and a glass on your desk each morning. Get through it through lunch, and do the same inside the afternoon. You’ll exercise better and recover faster if you’re hydrated. I drink some water when someone asks me a ridiculous question or sends a dumb email... find something that works available for you!

Chewing your food thoroughly is not going to make digestion easier, but will allow your body time to recognise when it's actually full, thus preventing overindulging.

You've already cheated on weight loss once. How about this time you do it right and and use exercise and control what you cram into your mouth. Other then that, I work in Methodist Hospital and have not heard any risks of this surgery, other then cheating.
