First communion is a sacrament in the Roman Catholic Church(and probably some others).

Before you're confirmed in the Catholic Church, you must be baptized, have first communion, and first confession. So if you want to be Catholic, you have to do one.

It's not hard, all the kids in CCD and adults in RCIA just have like a special little thing where the priest calls them up and does it infront of the (congregation?).

Communion is when you go to church and remember the death and ressurection of Christ by eating bread and drinking grape juice(representing wine) as Jesus did at the Passover. "First" communion might mean a person's first time doing communion or maybe it means that they do communion on the first Sunday of every month. They usually say that you should only take communion if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You don't have to.

It means getting Communion for the 1st time. Communion is the form of Jesus' body when he offered himself to save our sins at the Last Supper. You don't have to "do one", you can chose to if you want to. It kind of depends on what religion it is. I know for sure Catholics do it but I'm not sure about any other religion. Hope I helped and have a great day!

it's a ceremony in the catholic religion where all the kids who are of a certain age (i was in 3rd or 4th grade) or the latest group of adult converts take communion for the first time. you have to study up on transubstantiation and church doctrine for a while before they let you do it. as far as i remember, you don't have to do it in a big ceremony if you don't want to. you do have to take communion if you want to be catholic, though.
i'm an atheist now so i haven't been to mass in a number of years, i may have forgotten something.

Ya it's a Catholic thing. I had to go through and all I remember is how bored I was, walking down the aisle infront of everyone, and then some girl almost setting her veil on fire. Haha my mom has a video of it. I don't do the church thing today. O you get to eat some nasty tasting waffer and drink horrible church wine.

It is a step in being Catholic, usually done in grade 2.
For an adult, this happens through RCIA at the Easter vigil.

Don't do it.
It's pointless.

I did it and I felt no more spiritual.

Research it before committing to it.
