For example getting tattoos or piercings? Is it something people go to hell for since tattoos are pretty much irreversible? Confessing to a sin like that is pointless since you really can't do anything about it.

Just wonering

Thanks

I know a guy who has a "property of Jesus Christ" tatoo on the top of his right hand--he is also a real nutjob if you ask me.

The Old Testament was very clear about such abominations.
Christianity is also big on your body as temple of the Spirit.
Going to Hell is about rejecting G*Ds love for eternity.
You can always confess when you recognize a sin & are sorry.

Well I hate to say the obvious but God put a mark on Cain for killing Abel. That does not imply marking the body is meant only for showing people they are bad. But was necessary for Cain's protection that men would not kill Cain.

I think if you did do that you need to let your faith and your perspective of Bible teachings be your guide. The most important thing is to maintain your belief in God no matter what.

That is just my opinion. Also need I say this? Our savior was marked by man in body. But he is still our lord and risen Savior.

The old testament certainly warns against cutting and piercing your body parts (not sure what it says about tattoos).

I don't regard such things as "sinful" but I do think it's stupid (those awful nose rings --- snot-catchers I call them).
