Or stand up for truth, even if you were in harm's way; having total faith in God?

My friend, I am learning that my problem's are not mine to fight.God is my shield from the storms in my life. This was something I honestly did not understand before, but just like people put faith in scientists, doctors, and governments....All created by God,and are nothing without God's wisdom,I can comfortably say I would stand up for the truthno being scared or afraid of what another man says, when my conscience and inner soul know what's right. Remember Jonah and the Whale?

I've had to stand up many times and voice an opinion on something that I feel strongly about that's an injustice. I don't make a lot of noise about things on a daily basis but I do like to think that I try to help the underdog or those that don't have a voice for themselves. At times I've stood alone on some issues because of someone else's fear to speak up.. I find it very difficult to stay silent when something wrong is going on and I could change it by speaking up against it. None of us like to be disliked for our beliefs, but if I had to I would rather be disliked than to let an injustice go on and stand there silently.

I think back on a quotation I read years ago that said "I would rather stand with the minority that is right, rather than stand with the majority that is wrong". I have felt like that at times. But before I take a stand and align myself with any one else on something serious, I make sure it is based on truth and not hypocrisy..Back in the late 60's I did put myself in harms way for another that I didn't even really know. But it was the right thing to do. I was young, but have never regretted the decision. And it turned out well and no harm came to anyone.
I've always felt the Lord has been with me but I've been a Christian long enough to know that it doesn't mean that bad things won't at times happen to us.

I would stand up.. no matter who it hurt to make justice was well served. I would even take my Gun loaded to make sure. I have God on my side as He would be guiding me. My life wouldnt mean a thing if it would help someone else in their time in need. SLIENT ME? Never.. I am not the silent type when I know something is wrong. The truth will set you free no matter how you have to get at it.I think sometimes I am too strong will for my own good but I get my message across on things. Sometimes people want listen but I stand on my convictions. If everyone would stand up and speak this world would be a better place to live. But most sit around idly grumbling about how they would do this or that instead of standing up for what they believe in.

NO! I do not stand silent in the face of injustice! Yes, I stand for truth and it has put me into harms way. But, as a Christian, I know that God's will is best and therefore, my faith is firmly in Him!

I have and will always continue to stand for truth, and that always puts you in harms way.
Having total faith in God I have, it is in man where my faith is lacking, never in God.
Great question, brother!

Yes. God takes care of those who believe. I also believe that if we leave things in God's hands things always work out for the best.
Being a true soldier of God you should never be afraid to stand up for the truth or something you believe in.
God is Good!!

Aheeeemmmmmm...... *raising my hand*

A person does not need "God" to stand up to injustice. Having morals and having ethics and standing up against injustice has nothing to do with a person's faith. I don't believe in God the way you do, but I do believe in standing up, pointing out, and calling out injustices.

Please, stop thinking that Christians are the only ones who stare down injustice. They're not.

Happy Day!

I would like to think that I would not be silent in the face of injustice, regardless of my faith in a higher being. If I see someone in trouble, I help. It's that simple to me.

I agree with Nick K. And different people have different views of what injustice is. Like a lot of people see gay equality as an injustice to them and their beliefs.. crazy. But yeah... you didn't specify what the injustice was? But sure if it was something i was fired up about.. which could be anything cause I'll stick with my guns till the ends of the earth.
