i'm looking round different sites on how to connect my ps3 to my wireless router and alot of the stuff they say, i don't understand. like static IP, UPnp, Port forwarding and how different games need different ports.

to tell you the truth i know nothing about these, so can anyone give me a link or tell me how i can set up my ps3 easily and still have it work perfectly?

Goto settings

Goto network settings

Goto network connection, select enable

Goto Internet connection settings just below internet connection-

Push yes when it says you may be disconnected

Select wired or wireless

For wireless use scan or enter manually

Follow on screen instructions.

You nmay have to reset the router after running setup so it finds the ps3. . The wep can be found on the router itself

seriously i think you should go unsecured...people will just use you internet if you have wireless which you do bu that gives you better acess to everything. and also if you have a really long enthernet cable its easy well if you could afford 30 bucks and maybe your hard work to go up on the attic and let the ethernet cable come down to your room maybe your router is far..i hope that helps

1) is it wireless or wired?
if wireless, then are you using a wep key (password)???
if so, then you need to go to your ps3 and go to network settings, and go to easy install. Just put in your password, and it should work.
If wired then do the samething as stated above, but instead of choosing wireless, choose wired.
