A ghetto, ignorant chick was clicking her gum in the library @ my school in the COMPUTER LAB! My ears are very sensitive to gum-snapping or food-smacking. No food, gum, chewing tobacco, smoking, drinks-not even WATER is allowed. I asked her in a polite tone, "May you please stop clicking your gum? My ears are extremely sensitive to that." She looked @ me like I was crazy & said, "*****, you better go take your crazy pills!" I told the lab tech, & he tried to say we both have to leave. Come to find out, he's younger than me.

I wasn't trying to pick an argument. The girl was breaking the rules, not me. Why do I have to be kicked out, too? I couldn't concentrate, & I had to print out something important. I didn't argue back with the girl after she told me what she told me.

Do you think that guy was being fair? What's the difference between the gum or if someone was playing loud, distracting music with their headphones? I couldn't concentrate. Now being angry about it I STILL can't.

***I don't mean to sound rude, but I'm very angry right now. My day is ruined.

You shouldn't have been kicked out too. The lab tech probably kicked you both out so he wouldn't have to hear trash from the gum smacking girl. Either that or you and the lab person are the same race and the gum smacker was a different race, and the lab tech didn't want to be accused of being racist.

If the library is pretty small, others probably noticed the same thing, including the lab tech, and they were too chicken to say anything for the reasons listed above or other reasons.

Don't worry about people that act like that. They get what is coming to them every time.

You sound very strict about the rules but yeah...that was totally unfair to you.

There was no way you could have moved to a different ...computer? Simply to avoid it.

You should complain to the head supervisor if the incident of the same type occurs again Because it isn't your oriignal intention to try to kick the other gum chewing girl out; you just want some peace time to work.

No way you're in the wrong.

Personally it sounds to me like everything revolves around what you can take or not take. Enter the real world. Everyone is not going to be interested in what you want. If you don't like it, tough it out or move away. You just don't have the right to make everyone abide by your rules or the rules of the area. Who made you queen?

She was very rude and argumentative. The guy who kicked you both out was too lazy to do his job. You deserve to be able to work in peace.

Sorry this happened.

Gum smacking can be very annoying, but does that really make her ghetto and ignorant?

Seems a bit odd that you stated that when it didn't really have anything to do with what happened...

Well, I don't think it was fair. After all, that other girl was causing the disturbance. What she said was really rude too and I don't think she should havesaid that. I believe that you shouldn't have been kicked out of the library.

I think in his stand point..he doesnt know the situation he's not really obligated to play mediatior or choose sides so he asked you both to leave...sounds fair....sometimes in the real world(not in the sheltered life in school) You cant always get your way.....and you'll have to learn to be tolerant of the little annoyances of others.... sorry

The guy was wrong...he probably just wanted to clear everyone out so he didn't have to deal with it. I'd complain to his supervisor...he should be the one enforcing the rules anyways. She was rude but he's incompetent...what fun for you.
