BOTH of you should back off - unless you don't mind losing a friend JUST to get some guy...
And one who hasn't even shown ANY interest in EITHER ONE of you - unless you left this detail out ;);)

Isn't then really up to the guy who he likes? That being said,, never let a guy come between you and a friend. in that case, unless its serious, maybe you both would be better off just walking away from it before there are hard feelings.

If you have any honor, the person who spotted and made contact first should be the one to get him.
Be prepaired to lose a friend.
If you want to keep this friend let this one go or have a truthful talk with your friend.

Explain to your friend that you kinda like him, too, but you don't want a guy to effect your friendship. tell her that you love her to death, but you want to give him a chance if he ends up liking you and you want her to give him a chance if he ends up liking her. Tell her that you want her to feel the same.
You have to understand eachother and promise to be friends no mattter who he goes for. If he ends up liking one of you over the other, you & your friend are gonna have to be greatful for one another and let it be. You've just got to remind yourselves that guys will come and go but your friends will always have your back.

Back off. My best friend and I are no more becuase of this. We both dated him but it wasent worth it. He was obviously a player anyway. There is SO many other guys!

Do you value your friend?
Or do you not really care about her?
If you value her, secretly like him, and not mention it to her.
If you don't value her, just do whatever.
You shouldn't have to make a choice between your friend and your crush, but if it comes down to it, ask him out, you only get one shot at love.
So don't screw it over, or it'll screw you over.
