or in a group. If a group, how large?

Blessings and thank you to all. To those who practice alone, please indicate if by choice. I am blessed to share with a group of 150, who network with over 500 in my area.

Alone, but only because there isn't a Kindred around here. The one's I've found listed online have disappeared over the past couple of years and the closest one to me is over an hour away, so it makes it pretty tough to get there. So, for now, it's just me and my son (with my husband gaining some interest).

Heathen

One again people, Heathen is a pagan path. It's not an insult.

To answer the question, both. I have three kids and we do things at home. Simple stuff. Sometimes I blot the gods for personal help they have given me and I feel no need to share that with others.
I have a kindred near by that I do fellowship and some blots with. They are really nice people, but my schedule is REALLY hectic and I just can't always make it. Plus my twins are...well they are two. And I'm always a little worried of what they will do someone else's house.
I also have a mish mash group of pagans at the UU church I take the kids to (I think it's important for them to be exposed to as many faiths as possible though we practice Heathenism) and I love hanging out with them. As we are all from different paths, we have some really cool debates. We also have a lot of fun together as it's mostly girls.
So I have a wide spread of people I practice with. I'm about to move to the NE and have started talking with a kindred up there that I'm excited about as well. Heathens tend to be really organized for pagans and they have a tight and thick community up there.

Yes and no.
Most of my work, serious self development, meditation and magick I do alone.
However, in the past I celebrated the 8 yearly Sabbats with what best would have been called a coven in the Greek style. This was very nice because I could be with friends during the holidays, and I wish some of these friends would start something like this up again. I don't particularly like ADF, so I'm not going to the main group offering public rites in my area.
I've also done magick with close friends before, but very seldom. I find it hard because magick styles vary so much. For instance, I'm into sigil creation in the style of AO Spare, I'm into Shamanic Meditation, Lucid Dreaming, and I'm into ceremonial magick that doesn't include Goetia. (I'm currently working on QC, LBRP, Liber Resh, Liber Israfel, and Mass of the Phoenix within my daily routine) My styles of magick don't really lend themselves to participating with others. and I'm not particularly interested in initiation into any secret societies. You've got to follow your own Wyrd.

I used to be part of a group that had aobut 8 core members with various others that came and went over the nearly 7 years we worked together before I dragged it down in my own self-destructive spiral.

NOW I work alone. I never found any others to work with and, while it has been over a year since I re-established contact with my former group I have not, as yet earned a place to be among them again.

Alone. I'm not all that fond of the group that's in my area. (Faerie trads, they're nice enough, but this group is little drama-dependent.)

I've worked in an informal circle before, when I lived elsewhere, and really liked it. We had several different pagan religions represented and would trade off hosting events. I miss it. We had about 8 people, so not enough to really get into any trouble.

I practice alone, both out of circumstance and out of choice. The Heathens who are near my area I don't see eye-to-eye with on a lot of issues and the Neopagans who are here...well, they are fine to hang with but as far as doing any sort of group/coven/ritual thing together, no. I'm much happier practicing on my own without having to deal with other people's personal drama and hang-ups.

I have a Kindred (of which I am the gythia) - we number 9 (not counting kids under 16). I also practice alone.

We attend a gathering of heathens once a year that number from 25 - 75.

I'm currently solitary, though I'm thinking about looking into joining a kindred, and a large heathen organization called The Troth (which could help me find a kindred).

I mostly practice alone or w/ my husband(Wiccan). I haven't practiced in a large group since leaving Alaska. None of my close friends here are Pagans.

Heathens in general...? That's rather a broad spectrum...
This heathen practices with everyone, all the time, whether they are aware of it or not. Come to think of it, doing the right thing and thinking good thoughts is also a Christian ideal, so does that make me like 70% heathen?
