I'm a Christmas Baby too! Happy Upcoming Birthday! I may get a lot of thumbs down for saying this, but that's ok, this is how I FEEL about Chihuahuas! I think Chihuahuas are the best! Chihuahua Motto:{If they could talk} is:"To Know Me Is To Love Me"! Chihuahuas are the most loyal, protective, loving, dedicated, funny dogs you will ever own! They are "Little Dogs With Very Big Hearts" OR "Little Dogs With Very Big Hearts And A Macho Streak"! There is so much I can tell you about Chihuahuas, but not enough space to write it all on. They are truly amazing little dogs! Congratulations on your new fur baby, have fun and enjoy him/her! You are going to fall so IN LOVE! Here are a couple of great sites, that will tell you everything you need to know about Chihuahuas: The second and third links, are kind of fun sites, with tons of information:

Try to do as much research as possible about the breed! The more you can learn, the better off you and your new puppy will be! If you have any questions and I can help, just go to my profile and e-mail me! I'll do the best I can to answer any questions you have, about Chihuahuas! Hope this info helps! Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday!!!

google,Internet research
They should not get over 6 pounds,
they come in long coat and short coat
both shed and need daily brushing
they can have patella problems
they can have low blood sugar leading to seizures
they are known as a 1 person dog and will pick it's owner so don't get upset if it doesn't pick you.
with any pups they should not be given as gifts they should meet the new owner and make sure you both are going to work out together.
They can be very stubborn so be consistent, and don't give in.
They have very fragile bones.
Never leave a pup especially on a piece of furniture unless it can get up there it self or a good chance of severe or fatal injuries.
chihuahuas have open fontanels ( soft spot on top of head) that will never close ( this is sort of like a soft spot on a baby.

i have a chihuaua! they're sooo cute. esp as babies. my puppy could fit in the palm of my hand he was soooo small. u just want to make sure u potty train immediately. and dont let him or her stay out in the cold long! they shake and shiver ALOT even if they're not cold. usually when they're nervous also. and if it is a pup. u want to feed it 3-4 times a day while hes still young but only little handfulls bc they wont eat alot since they're sooo tiny. also they're yappers so just know that! but yea im done hahah have fun with ur puppy!

chihuahuas are a very good breed to have
I have 5 chihuahuas.

their very energetic
they chew up everything so make sure to buy alot of toys unless you want your stuff to get chewed on.
some are very scared of new people some are not and some will just chew peoples leg off
they need alot of attention.

so just give your chihuahua a loving home and everything will be fine trust me

congrats on your new puppy.

Go to Petsmart and get a book on them. They are a very dedicated breed and they are inclined to be one person dogs. They do not do good with children because of their size.
