Fruit, cut up veggies with ranch dressing for dipping, yogurt, cheese sticks, cheese spreads, jello, pudding - snack things for grabbing quickly between meals. I usually do a pasta salad too and have lots of lunch meat for sandwiches.
Enjoy!
Note: I know you didn't ask this part, but I always appreciate it if there are Kleenex, an extra blanket and a clock in the room I am sleeping in...

Well, you have to know what they like. My mom likes wine and cheese so I always get 3 kinds of fancy cheese, wine, and some crackers that I put in the pantry. My dad and stepmother like light beer so I get Coors Light or Busch Light. You have to know what your guests prefer.
Some good generic alternatives would be orange juice, bottled water, iced tea, sliced turkey, sliced ham, sliced cheese and condiments for a sandwich, chips, pretzels and popcorn in the pantry, peanut butter, crackers, cookies, coffee, teabags for hot tea, cream, sugar, a breakfast pastry such as danish or coffee cake, eggs, brown n serve sausages, bread (for toast and sandwiches), jelly and cream cheese. That oughtta please just about everybody.

It is nice to find out what they like to eat before they get there....but I like to have sliced lunch meat and cheeses from the deli and rolls for sandwiches, pop and bottled water, cans of nuts, chips, orange juice, apples, grapes for snacks. I always have boneless chicken breasts I can cook up in the Forman grill, and either frozen pizza's or get one from Papa Murphy's to cook at home.

My aunt always got me bagels, cream cheese, English muffins, and there was always deli meats and cheeses, olives, cookies, leftover restaurant meals, frozen pizza bites, and beer and sparkling water. I didn't even really eat that much since I wanted to go out and try out delis and restaurants.
