U might have the arthritis like your mom, I had this since I was 5, I remember crying out of pain my mom took me to the dr and I was diagnosed with arthritis at 5, weird but true, what helpes me is that oitment(Bengay) or the icy hot stuff, and if u do sports the icy hot should definitelly work for you, and also never hurts to go see a dr. Good luck!

You should definately see someone about your knees. I would go to you MD to get blood work done to rule out rheumatoid arthritis. If it's not that try going to a sports injury chiropractor or physiotherapist. They will be able to determine the cause of your knee pain and provide effective treatment. In the mean time ice your knee a few times a day.

I would definitely have a through physical from my doctor and him knowing what the family problems are. You may have to change your itinerary for sports, some people can play sports like this, some can't.

My two nephews went through college on scholarships in soccer, they played all over the worked but, paid dearly for it, Both are in their mid thirties and have had surgery on heir knees many times now.

No, just go see a doctor. You might have arthritis too. Just go see your doctor and don't do anymore softball or basketball practices or games until you see a doctor. Try to stay off of your leg for a while. Go see a doctor! Good luck!

It might be over-work, but get it checked out right away. Ask about getting a MRI. My brother had arthitis when he was 10 in his hips. It was a build-up of fluids in the hip, which was drained with a simple surgery. Don't worry too much, but get it checked out.
