With basically every single major religion in the entire world saying they are the true path to faith and religion, wouldn't you understand how we can get a bit overwhelmed by this?
With most of the religions saying they are the right path, how can we truly know what the right path is? All the religions seems as credible as each other so what is the difference between them all?
You can't exactly be every single religion without totally annoying three quarters of the religions on earth and so wouldn't being Atheist or no religion or just admitting to yourself that "I really don't know what to believe" be the wisest option?
And then if you do chose a religion like Christianity, they all say they are "true" Christians and all other forms of Christianity aren't - and so that means that either all Christian faiths are true Christians or none are true Christians at all - and you can't exactly be a "true" Christian without accepting one denomination as the "true" religion, can you?

You can tell when people have no good answers to my questions when they pick on my spelling and grammar rather than answering it.

"when we can admit that there might be a god, then we'll be able to complain that they are closed minded."
I admit there might be a god. I just don't want to limit my thinking into one individual belief system.
As an atheist, my basic ideal of the world is that I don't know and anything could be true.

You make a very good point. Sometimes the worst advertisement for a religion can be its followers (I'm a Christian and include us in that statement). There's nothing wrong with saying "I just don't know." And really, what would be the point of pretending? If there's no God, you're pretending for nothing, and if there is a God, pretending would do nothing but delay your acceptance of God. May I respectfully encourage you to keep considering and keep searching? Not everybody finds God right off the bat; for some people it can take a long time. If you can keep the attitude you have now, where you aren't actively attacking other people's religions but applying your mind and heart to the question, nobody should criticize you for searching or refusing to pretend to believe.
Best wishes to you.

Your dismay is understandable. There are many competing "truths" and it can be overwhelming. My understanding is that this is all part of the plan for earth life.
We are given this time on earth to develop an understanding of right and wrong through experiencing the challenge of competing ideas and people making both good and bad decisions.
For example, I tell my children not to lie and I hope they'll obey. However, they will probably gain some insight into this principle of happiness as they experience what happens when a relationship is damaged through dishonesty.
Our Heavenly Father (God) wants more for his children than just obedience. He wants us to understand true principles as he understands them.

a number of concepts right here. at the beginning, good or incorrect, he does have the excellent to apply his funds as he sees extra healthful. it extremely is totally biblical particularly. which ability being waiting to dictate words. it extremely is why non secular faculties are reluctant to settle for any government investment. You reported that he and his sister could pay from the money they inherited. what's his sister's handle this? i'm tempted to concentration somewhat on the certainty that the money inherited replaced into and not unavoidably earned, yet in the top, it extremely is nonetheless his (and hers) to come to a decision on what to do with. i'm curious if the bible college is accepted or no longer. whether it extremely is accepted, i think of his argument is vulnerable. What secular jobs have present day graduates gotten? Will she be qualified to do something besides be a missionary? What precisely does he think of he's investment? college could be for gaining understanding of for gaining understanding of's sake, or to coach for a skill profession. could he fund a mundane college with a non-effective degree on the top (say paintings historic previous, or Philosophy)? could he fund a vocational college to be a truck motive force or a black jack broker or a beautician? What I mean is that there seem to be limits, yet i'm no longer sparkling the place they are. ok, individually, i think of he's appearing erratically. Being atheist would not propose which you actively discourage non secular perception, in simple terms which you do no longer trust it or help it. yet he made an unconditioned dedication to help college for those grandchildren. by utilising retreating his help, he would be violating his very own 1st commandment besides. i do no longer think of he could elect investment judgements to be consistent together with his ideals. All that reported, i think of that it may be beside the point to settle for the money. It needless to say has strings linked. it may be effective if he could boost investment long sufficient on your daughter to seek for training assitance someplace else however. Any way it falls, this could stress relationships. it extremely is additionally to be anticipated from the Bible. I desire I had extra powerful advice for you. God bless. p.s. I trust the assessment of my esteemed atheist colleague on the fee of the atheist ten commandments.

I define atheism as, "there is no God".
From my logic and from a scientific point of view. For this to be valid we have to check every single corner of every void, substance and scientifically prove that there is no God. But to do this it is just impossible so it is logical to say,
"I don't know"
Then this means we are really not Atheist but "AGNOSTICS".
In terms of Christianity. Yes there are different denominations which say that they are "true".
To me its not really who's true or not, but what matters is my relationship with my God.

Well I cannot deny what I have seen ,and things that have happened in my life.
Can I ask you one question? As a 3 yr combat veteran and a EMT. Why is it when I see a corpse of a christian no matter how mutilated ,there is a peace about them you don't even want to touch them to disturb them. Yet a non-christian no matter how painless or rapid a death have utter horror in their eyes and complexion? Trust me I have seen many ,many ,many dead .

I think you make a very good point.
By the way, if you want to capitalize "Atheist," it's okay with me. I do it all the time. :)

I respect your beliefs or lack there of, just as I respect the beliefs of everyone else. What you believe is your beliefs, not mine, I do not judge people, yes I know many do, but I do not. It's not my place.
But can you say you respect mine?
