So... from a guy's point of view...
If you email back and forth with a woman an average of 6 times a day or so, does this necessarily indicate an interest in her? It seems like we "find" stuff to talk about-- none of it's really "necessary." (I like him a lot, but I'm not sure if he just sees me as a friend or what.)

yes it probably does most men are lazy and don't bother with small talk unless they want something. he obviously wants you.

Depends on what he is doing while emailing you. If he's at work and bored, then you're just keeping him busy. If he has things to do but would rather email you, then obviously he is interested in you.
You should ask him through your emails what he's doing concurrently. If he is not doing anything, then he's just "hanging out" online, if he's writing a paper, then he'd rather talk to you than do something important, which makes you important.

well i dont think you can really tell if a boy likes you only through talking on email.its kinda hard to tell through only emailing.
