Your parrot will continue to say it as long as you give attention to it. You, your family, any children, and guests will all have to work together to ignore the bird whenever it says those words. You must teach your parrot that f*ck off isn't an interesting word and that it should forget it. Praise everything it says that is appropriate. When it swears, ignore and walk off. That is the first step.

Next. DO NOT teach it other words while it still remembers how to swear - it is highly possible that it will learn to combine everything together and memorize a bigger sentence with
f*ck off in it. You must eliminate that vocabulary first, and THEN teach it new, appropriate words.

It's going to be tough and time-consuming, but you will have to persevere and keep trying. And don't forget to spank and discipline your friend :)

Good luck!

1quite simple you ignore the expletive totally show absolutely no reacti0on the bad words and your parrot will drop it from his/her vocabulary \ only notice the other words and praise those \ parrots say words to get a reaction out of you any reaction is a good reaction to a parrot so ignore ignore ignore totally don't even look at your bird And give your mate a good firm smack in the mouth. To teach him to shut the hell up when around these intelligent birds \ you love your bird so how would you feel about having to sell him/her because your "mate" has turned your pet from a lovely companion into an embarrassment?

Seriously Educate your friend or just don't let him / her into your house again !

Completely ignore it when it says that. It will take awhile but eventually it will tire of saying it if it doesn't get any response for it.
I used to have a Grey with a vocabulary of over 200 words. Some were quite "choice". This is the only thing that we ever found to stop him from having too much fun with his more colorful phrases!
Good Luck

The best way is to never, ever give him attention when he says it.

If you hear him say it, do not yell, do not go up to him, do not cover the cage and certainly don't spray him with water, do not let him hear you say it, and most of all don't laugh. Do not show ANY reaction whatsoever when he says it.

This won't guarantee he will stop over time, but there is a very good chance he will stop because he gets nothing out of saying it.

Good luck.

Take time out to really consintrate on the parrot and say a word repedivly, ( ex. Parrot, cracker, christmas ) over and over untill you hear the are saying it over and over, Or say somthing simalir to fu*k off. Like muck puff, or luck stuff.

Most important is do not react when the bird say's this.
If you do he will learn to say the word for attention.

In time and if you talk to him alot teaching him other words and praise him when he repeats a nice word, he will forget THAT word.

Smack your friend, right in the back of the head, and bar them from your house. And take the advice of the others, and ignore your bird, and it will eventually forget those words, hopefully.

like another poster said, you can teach him to turn it into something that sounds similar, i know of a woman who taught hers to say "fluke you" because it was saying worse.

some parrots (african grey) will get bored saying stuff and find something else to say. if that is ALL the bird says you have to teach it to say "truck off" like the other poster says, if it says other things just give it lots of attention when it says something nice and teach it to say new things, it will (probably!) be gone in 6 months.

teach it a lot of other things
i don't think that teaching it to say something similar will work because it will think you're saying what it was taught to say and it will just keep saying it

give it a whole new vocabulary
birds can only remember so much you know
