he keeps calling me fat and whore and a bunch of other insulting things... I know I'm NOT fat or any of those other things but i guess it kinda hurts my feelings.. and my parents see it going on but don't do anything about it. what should i do?

I know that 12 year olds seem pretty unreasonable, but try talking to him about it, and let him know that it hurts your feelings. I remember when I was younger, and my brother was about 11 he used to constantly call me fat, and tease me about my bad skin, and when I told him it hurt my feelings he didn't say hurtful things as often (you can't really expect an 11 year old to stop it completely). He told me he didn't mean it, he just did it!

If you show your brother that his remarks have hurt your feelings, that you are insulted, that you are not fat, he will feel a sense of victory. He will take a mental note to repeat such words that have hurt you most for future use.As such the ill feelings will not come to an end.When he is in a normal friendly mood, you may tell him that being elder to him ,you have all the best wishes for him,that you desire him to reach great heights in life, that you will see that all his needs are met, and other alluring things he may like to hear. Gradually your relations will become cordial and you two will lead a happy life.

ha i am going through the same thing. My brother is twelve as well and calls me the same things and my mom doesn't do anything about it. It does hurt but if you ignore him and act like his opinion is really useless to you he will leave you alone.

Sit your mom down and ask her to help you with this problem. He is doing it to get attention from you. He doesn't want to be all sappy and say i love you sis and give you a hug he is a boy he wants to be tuff so he calls you names instead.

tell him that if he does it again then he is going to be getting a makeover from you and your girlfriends when they come over or you and your friends will hold him down and give him a spanking
