If there was an atheist section to Yahoo Answers, would you have me believe that you wouldn't use it to bash atheists? I'm sure there are plenty of theists that only come here to debate atheists and then turn and ask what we are doing in the R&S section, so what's the deal? Do you use Yahoo Answers with the intention of agreeing with and to be agreed with by those that share your viewpoint or do you come here to learn from a variety of different thoughts?

1. Yes. Bashing - anyone - atheist, theist, Christian, Muslim, etc. - is against The Code.*

2. No deal here.

3. Both. And also to develop ideas, sharpen the critical thinking skills, and practice writing and paying attention to what others are saying.

Atheists have NO Doubt about there beliefs. Therefore they have no childish need to convince others of that belief. They are in the home and Garden section of Yahoo living there lives in peace. Atheists do not come here only agnostics. The same goes for Christians who insist that others must believe as they do. In stems from the Fear of being wrong and that another view point raises the possibility that they are wrong.
So then there's is a lack of conviction also.
I do enjoy mocking both sides. THERE childish buttons are so easy to push.

I come to discuss religion and spirituality of all kinds with people who have something to contribute to those topics. Anyone, atheists, agnostics, whoever, who can contribute to that without being insulting or report-happy are okay with me.

But, no, I wouldn't go to the atheist section because it's rude to go somewhere just to bash and annoy other people.

My guess is that the average theist comes to Y/A just to have a place to say, "I'll pray for you," "Blessings," "Peace be with you," and "You need salvation. Accept Jesus."

The dribble that always precedes these cute little words, their answers, aren't worth a hoot owl's hoot and even they know it.
