Or do you think that there might be a lie thrown in there somewhere?

Nope. The Bible is a collection of various literary forms, few of which are concerned with preservation of mere facts. There are parables and fables, poems and analogies, symbolism and metaphor - every kind of attempt to put into language what is an essentially ineffable experience. Lies? No. But there are certainly mistakes and errors. These shouldn't overshadow the truths to which they point, though.

Peace to you.

I believe it is all truth. That's a big difference. I can read a poem and say it is full of truth, but I don't necessarily think the poem is all factual. The Bible includes history, letters, and poetry and it's important to know which is which.

Perhaps I'm not the kind of Christian you were looking for to answer this question.

Ha! Trick question? The bible is full of the seven deadly sins and their consequences. Adam and Eve threw in the first lies. LOL.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say a lie...

but some friends i've talked to who went to Catholic school were taught that there are parts not meant to be interpreted literally.

Check out the book 'Misquoting Jesus'. It lays all the facts and proves one and for all that a vast majority of the bible is falsified and made up. LOTS of lies.

The books of Scripture firmly, faithfully, and without error teach the Truth which is of God, for the sake of our salvation.
It has God for its author, Salvation for its end, and Truth,
Without any mixture of error.
