I suggest you try with the ham sold at Costco - Kirkland Brand. It is the one wrapped in RED FOIL. This ham is flavored just right and NOT SALTY.
Their ham is already cooked and spiral-sliced.
All you have to do is make the glaze.
Then pour the glaze over the ham.
Then place the glazed ham in the oven at the LOWEST TEMPERATURE (about 170 to 200 F).
Heat the ham for about 1-hour.
Do not use a higher temperature as it will dry out the ham.
This always works for me.
Did this procedure last Thanksgiving and the ham was wiped out. NO LEFTOVERS.
Happy Eating!

I have found that using pineapple juice to marinate the ham while it's in the oven reduces the saltiness of it. I heat some pineapple juice in a saucepan with some brown sugar, pinch of ground cloves and some black pepper. Put some in the bottom of the pan and use the rest to baste the ham with.

Any brand will do, but you need to soak the ham in warm water to get the excess brine out of the meat.
For your glaze use brown sugar and honey and keep basting the ham. It will infuse into the meat.

I've found that Cook's hams are pretty good. Also, the hams at Costco aren't bad either. Other than that, it's hard to say.

As already mentioned, soak it for a bit to remove any excess brine.
I also inject mine with pineapple juice and glaze it with maple syrup and brown sugar, then toothpick pineapple rings and maraschino cherries inserted all over outside.
