Yes, all people inherited sin from Adam and Eve, specifically Adam. Romans 5:12 speaks to this, “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.” Romans 5:19a declares further, “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners…” Adam and Eve were made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27). As a result, all human beings are also in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 9:6). However, we are also in the image and likeness of Adam (Genesis 5:3). When Adam fell into sin, that resulted in every one of his descendants also being “infected” with sin (Psalm 51:5).

You are quite right in saying we have the disobedience of Adam and Eve to blame for the sin in the world. They were created, and placed in an idyllic place, with everything they would ever need. But, along comes Satan tempting them to eat of the very tree that God forbid to eat from. Adam and Eve believed Satan's lies and ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This act of disobedience brought on the judgment of their banishment from the Garden of Eden. They brought sin into the world.

I think of the Adam and Eve story as a pretty good reflection of the rebellious human spirit alive and well even today.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Yes. God created a perfect world, and meant it to stay that way, however, because sin entered into it, the whole earth fell under a curse. It was because of Adam's DISOBEDIENCE. There were CONSEQUENCES of sin, and that's why things are messed up today. God Bless

Absolutely. Once they opened the door for death and sin to enter, things have gone from bad to worse.Right away the life span began to shrink generationally until by Noah's time they went from 900 years old to 120 years old. Then by the time of King David man was lucky to be 70 years old.Man in the begining was brilliant, after the flood ,it's like he had to learn all over again. For example: Moses in 1500 B.C. either walked, rode a horse or donkey ,or rode in a cart.3500 years later George Washington got around the same exact way.Not until the turn of the 19th century has God allowed us to really progress. In the last 200 years we have gone from ox carts to the Moon.

No. Mostly because it is bizarre to assume that everything wrong with the world today is due to two people, with no sense of right and wrong, eating an apple, in a Garden that no longer exists, 6,000 years ago.
