Here is a link to consider before you answer. I was shocked to see only two incidents where Black persons were accused of attacking a white or gay.The rest were whites attacking, harassing, menacing, even murdering Black people, Indians, Latinos, Middle Eastern, and the list goes on and on. The states are abbreviated. Just go down the list to see the hatecrimes in each of the states listed:

I am very embarrassed and shocked, and I have witnessed hate first hand to several Black people while lazy police refused to intercede. They were required to but did nothing, so the problems escalated, there were lawsuits, several persons lost their jobs, and the cops wound up writing "FALSE POLICE REPORTS" to cover themselves. That's good policing, huh?

What about all you decent people? What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks for your wholesome answers.

Eric and Steven, I asked for decent people's answers. Instead you take up the forum with denials and mindless defense. One thing you did though was answer part of my question; the police are adding to the problem. Thanks for looking out.

EL CHACARERO: Thank you for your contribution. I appreciate it.

We police the police.
Use your constitutional right to file a citizen's complaint. Some *do* lose their badges because of stupidity and violations, you know?

Hating someone is not Illegal, only acting upon that hate is. I don't know where you get your stats from I think they are slanted big time. You don't think violence transcends race? Have a well dressed white person walk around downtown Detroit at 2 AM below the 8 Mile and just see what happens.

Police and the government CAN NOT and should not do ANYTHING about hate. They can and should do something about CRIMES regardless of the motive. I did not check your link because there is NOTHING it could possibly contain that would influence my answer.
