We can hope I guess, because the Federal Govt will not do it. It's long overdue for the people of this country to get together and force our elected leaders to take care of this menace. And if we have to do it state by state,so be it!!

Very likey could happen.
If one State puts down the hammer and starts enforcing the law, the illegals will be forced to flee to yet another State that is more lenient.

ONce every State realized they must force legal measure of law on immigrants, the party will be over, dispite what the corrupted leaders of Wahington DC may want.

It could lead to major changes in how or country is governed ...or not governed. Those who are in control should pay serious heed ...to the will of the people.

The states that can afford it I suppose will. That's an awful lot of money the feds will save if states take on all their duties for them. But with the war deficit I guess they're looking at any way to save money. I just wonder how long the individual states can finance things if their federal funding doesn't increase. Will we be back at square one if they can't? Not to mention will they have to cut funding for programs for citizens too as they take on the feds job? Just a thought.

Unfortunately not those that need it most and serve as a gateway to the rest of the country. There is a tipping point and some states have already reached it.

49 out 50 maybe. I think California needs federal help. We let one lousy demoncratic governor in, and he screwed up our legislation meant to protect us. Now I doubt we are able to pass similar legislation to protect us from illegal immigration.

Never !!!! The costs and the losses would bankrupt any state. It's an unwinable action. Hope no bubbles are bursting, but it will never, ever happen. Illegal immigration is here to stay, We will begin to make allowances, rather than getting rid of them. For the hopeful, or demented, which ever category your in, it will never happen and work the way it does in your fantasies.

Nobody can predict what state governments may or may not do, but I think you know that. Your question is purely rhetorical, intended to make a statement. The statement you wish to make, if I'm not mistaken, is:

I THINK ALL STATES SHOULD ENACT LEGISLATION TO CURB ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

Stop me if I'm wrong.
