There's a guy in my 1 of my classes; he's cute, shy, and amazingly smart! However, I only know him by reputation- idk him personally. His locker's by mine and I pass him like 3 times a day. That's the extent of our contact. I'd really like to get to know him- any suggestions?

No seriously- Idk him at all- I need to know how to get to know him before I start talking a lot to him. Although I like the homework idea. . .

ask him for help in class say that you don't understand something.......even if you do......and then just slowly start some small talk but don't talk his ear off......you never know you may become friends or even closer......but you'll never know until you try

Sure if he's smart -- tell him you heard he's good at some subject and ask if he can help you cause your having problems understanding a few things... or if you have mutual friends arrange a group outing that you know this guy will join.... or you can just start talking to him in class by making jokes that aren't about anybody else but are just silly....

Talk to him when you see him at his locker. That's probably the best (besides lunch, before, and after school) time to talk to him. Just ask him how he's doing, and how are his classes.
Yes, he may feel weird at first "why is this girl talking to me?" But then he gets over it and starts talking and stuff.
Also, you can ask him to help you on some homework if you see him before or after school.
EDIT: Oh snap, he's in one of your classes also? Even easier to ask him for homework help! =) Can probably start by asking him everyday what the assignment was, then start talking about it, or whatever.

ask him what the homework is in that one class yall have. if hes really smart, he'll be glad to tell you . then start asking random questions everyday. hope it works out for you!
