Violent dreams are relatively common and may be a reflection of the confusion and conflict that the dreamer experiences in daily life. Dreams with violent themes suggest that the dreamer has unconscious negative emotions such as fear, anxiety, and anger. If you are not dealing with these feeling consciously, your dreams are compensating and bringing into awareness the need for honest reflection and emotional balance in daily life.

One thing I will say for sure: you are not being honest when you say you couldn't care less about her. If that was the case, you wouldn't be having this dream.

Many times the people in our dreams represent concepts. You might be trying to "kill" a sense of loss or betrayal; saying "No, I will not be betrayed again."

Try to approach this with compassion and see how you can work through your hurt feelings and anger rather than deny them. It's clear you don't want to hurt anyone, so the sooner you deal honestly with your feelings, the better. Bottled up anger has a way of exploding at the wrong times.

Our school has a comprehensive course on Anger Management from a spiritual perspective. It's non-judgmental but it's not necessarily "easy" either. Please take your feelings seriously.

Good luck. This may be an opportunity for you to develop strong goals, self-respect and self-knowledge which will help you in future relationships.

Not much - sleep is sometimes our way of dealing with emotions that are too intense or not appropriate in society. Also dreams are very often just plain weird - seriously, a few nights ago I dreamt that Julia Roberts was eating a frisbee sized hamburger with extra lettuce in the back of a cab that was driven by an alien -wonder what i ate that night?

In the dream, your anger at her has turned into murderous rage, and you have increased her crimes to "other stuff she did behind your back". IOW, your dream is magnifying the situation in an attempt to work through the feelings that you won't acknowledge in waking life.

perhaps if you admit to yourself that you are deeply hurt, even devastated, that you were betrayed after 10 months, the dreams will subside.

Remember, what you do in your own mind is your business. The visualization is only that, a visualization of that person not the real thing. Or maybe you are just gay and you strangling your ex means you are strangling all women. Or maybe you think all women are ***** and you are strangling ***** meaning you are super gay. I am not quite sure.

it is your subconscience dealing inclusive of your anger. in the process waking hours try working merely slightly your anger off, the two by skill of taking place to the health club and giving the kit a going over. or possibly soak up working. employ a bucket of balls and attack them with a golfing membership on the closest using selection. If all else fails seek for professional help to recover from the trend.

You're in denial. Of course you care. Women stew over this type of thing for months. Men just go out and get us some. You know what is expected of you.

you have a lot of hatred about her. you are keeping it inside which is not good. you need to ofind an acceptable way of releasing your feelings about her. you might want to try talk therapy it can be very helpful. it sounds like she really did you bad. it sounds like you really could care about her now but in a very destructive way. please for your peace of mind and your health seek help before it is too late.

Maybe your conscious mind has gotten over her but your unconscious self is still REALLY pissed. I'm sure it will go away once you find someone else. I wouldn't worry about it, just don't actually do it lol.
