I wish. lol! The only way two stamps help is if you think it weighs too much for one stamp. If you put two on then you don't have to worry about it being sent back for more postage.
It depends on how far away on whether it gets there the next day. You can go to www.usps.com & they have the tools you need to find out how long it takes to get from your area to their area. But it's just an average. There's no guarantee.
I have found though if I pay to have it certified it usually gets there quicker plus you have the added bonus of being able to prove it was there on time if questioned.

First class does not mean there the next day. it could take up to a week depending on where its going. Putting 2 stamps on a letter doesn't make it get to destaination quicker. You jsut waste your money. If you need your letter to be there by a cetain day you should go in to the post office and talk to someone. You may need to pay extra to have it shipped quicker.

I'm not sure about the UK, but in the US, you'd just be over paying. In the US, the shipping classification (First class, Priority Mail), and the weight halp to determine the price of mailing a letter. Adding an extra stamp would be a waste of money if mailing it snail-mail.

certainly, it incredibly is a incredibly ordinary prepare. The USPS will attempt to furnish the letter and convey collectively postage from the receiver. Failing this, the letter is despatched to a mail restoration midsection, or "ineffective letter workplace". that is not "lost", as inundated believes. The USPS will make each and every attempt to furnish top notch mail. I certainly have considered the main illegible, short-paid, poorly packaged, and badly addressed mail locate its suitable homestead. i've got even considered businesses pay postage due out of their own wallet. The USPS isn't obligated, in spite of the fact that, to furnish something for unfastened. have faith me, there isn't a postal worker obtainable that hasn't considered this ruse tried a minimum of 1000 circumstances. probability is, you may in no way see this piece of mail returned. the only way this might artwork could be if your handle is interior the comparable city or is serviced by way of the comparable facility with the aid of fact the delivery handle. considering the fact that those products are marked up by way of hand, it would extremely be observed if there have been better than certainly one of them interior of a volume of time.
