Most Christians have been illiterate for most of the time Christianity has existed....

What if those that passed the Bible fiction through word of mouth actually added some stuff, perhaps for shock value or for predigesting the information to their keen?

Was your god there overseeing the process? Because, last time I checked, Catholics worship graven images and too many so-called Christians are way too mean and way too judgmental....

Also, whenever I ask a question regarding your cult, I get very different answers, and many of such disparate answers are "backed" by the Bible...

Perhaps the original message has been corrupted?

Do you know, that when you point one judgmental finger at someone or some group, there are three fingers pointing back at YOU ? Ask God to fill your heart and mind with the Wisdom, He has instilled in all of us. You are falling short from knowing the full truth about Christians and God the Father Almighty. God Loves you . ( I am not illiterate )

I think part of the problem is your definition of the term "Christian"...not that it's your fault, most of the world seems to have the same definition you are using.
Try thinking of a Christian as "a person who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ"...it could make a difference in the way you think about them.
It would probably help if you would just reduce the teachings of Jesus Christ on down to His main point...that we should love one another.
In fact, according to Jesus, the world would know His disciples by their love...
Which would sort of cancel out folks who are "way too mean and way too judgmental"...(although none of us are perfect...another common misconception about "Christians" is that they are supposed to be somehow more "moral" than normal folks...as if someone forgot that it is SINNERS Christ came to save, NOT perfect people...)

Probably not as corrupted as you think. Memory work and retention & recitation was actually better when people were less literate, so stories could get passed on for substantial amounts of time with little deviation.

Your question is riddled with judgemental statements.
