It depends on when you were born. They are increasing the age for full benefits. It's 66 now and will be 67 by the time people born in the early 1960s reach retirement age. The age to begin receiving reduced benefits is still 62, and the age to be eligible for Medicare is still 65.

Actually it may not be 65. There are new laws determining the "full retirement age". Here is a website that has a calculator to show when is your retirement age.

However, you may start collecting retirement funds at the age of 62 if conditions are met. Here is information regarding that information.

You can still start receiving benefits at age 62. But the "full retirement age" when you get benefits without a reduction for taking them early, depending on the year you were born, can be as late as 67. See http://ssa.gov/retire2/agereduction.htm for specifics.

You can draw reduced benefits at 62. The age for "full" benefits varies with year of birth.

It's complicated. There are various ages at which various levels of SS kick in. The longer you wait, the greater your monthly payment. You can check the SS Administration website.

66 years...You can draw Medicare at 65. However..the age to draw your FULL SOCIAL SECURITY is 66 and then some months...it continues to go up in age as the years pass....I think eventually it will end up being 70 years.
