Hi
Hope this helps. I won a trip to Tahiti about 5 years ago. I was never phoned, but did receive an e-mail. The e-mail said I was a potential winner, and to watch the mail for a package.
The pkg arrived within afew days. Inside were about 6 pages of legal papers. According to the law (at least here in Canada) you have to answer a skill testing question before you can be declared a winner. Once I answered the question (over the phone) I was announced the winner. The travel company then sent the info to my travel agent who arranged for the trip.
I should add too, that we didn't have to pay a dime. They actually had to pay us (1.00) which is part of a legal contract to obtain your signature.

First- there is no "Bridal America" if you do a Google Search, so that should be your first clue.
Also, you can call David's corporate offices and verify the validity of the "prize" being offered through their business.

Good Luck

If she actually put her name in a drawing then it sounds real... The ones you have to watch out for are the ones that say you won when you didn't put your name in.
Get ahold of the company though to find out for sure. Maybe contact David's Bridal and Bridal America to see what they say.
Good luck!

Yes! We actually won something similar to this and it is a total scam....well...let me take that back...yes, you won a trip BUT, it's going to cost you more money than you think. The trip you won is basically "basic" and to upgrade, it will cost you. To fly out at a preferred time, it will cost you. To stay longer, it will cost you. It is not all inclusive either, so that will cost you. Plus, the company we "won" the trip from required us to attend a Bridal demonstration....a way to get you to buy something for your wedding...to pay for part of your trip that you "won".
Sorry to rain on the parade!!! But, in all seriousness, we were really excited too...and then when we read the "small print" it just wasn't worth it at all!

I got a similar call after putting my name in at a bridal expo. We had to go to a presentation where they tried to get us to buy ridiculously overpriced cookware, and after sitting thru their 2 hour sales pitch we got our "Free Trip!". It was a scam. You had to give them your CC info or send them money to reserve the spot. After asking around with other brides it was discovered that not only was the cookware faulty, but no one had ever received their trip tickets.
If it sounds to good to be true... it probably is.
But call the lady and ask lots of questions. Do you have to go to a presentation? Will they require you to put a deposit down? etc etc

About a year ago I got a call saying that my name was drawn for a free trip to anywhere in the U.S. They got my basic info first & then told me to wait for a second call. The second call came & they wanted credit card information & told me that I would be responsible for part of it.
I really hope that it works out for you... but be very careful that you don't sign or agree to anything before everything is laid out in front of you.

You didn't "win" anything. If you put your name in that drawing...you will get picked. Everyone gets picked that enters. It is a scheme to get you to buy things from them. They say all you need to do is attend a small presentation and claim your voucher while there.
I probably got called 5 or 6 times for the same type of stuff. Never went to any of them. You get the hotel stay only...but it will be up to you to get all transportation and food costs. It is exactly that-too good to be true!

Last time we won something like that it was a time share (Fairfield I believe) but we were exempt from taking the tour, but they tried to get us to by offering us free stuff. This didn't include air. We had to get ourselves to Las Vegas.

Be careful -it seems too short to be a "real" honeymoon and it may be a "vacation destination". I would investigate quite a bit before booking anything.
