Well, I'm Catholic so I believe, as the Church teaches, that God saves whomever He wishes to save and whatever people might think should be "rules and regulations" doesn't matter a whit.
The way I see it, a person who lives a morally upright life despite having no religion is actually following the Holy Spirit's urging to choose right, even though that person doesn't realize that there is a Holy Spirit.
I agree with you that not everybody has enough education & experience to purposefully choose to be one religion, so that shouldn't be the "litmus test" for getting into heaven. I'm comfortable leaving it all up to God, knowing He is perfectly loving and perfectly merciful.

I was raised Jewish and Judaism doesn't put a great emphasis on heaven. Some Christians seem to believe that heaven is reserved just for them, but from my perspective that seems a little silly.
I believe in 'many paths'. I think it doesn't matter how one believes because nobody really knows anyway. If one lives a good life, is moral and ethical and consistent, that's all God really wants.
There is certainly nothing wrong with accepting Jesus as your 'personal savior'. Jesus' teachings were very good--though I have to point out that nothing he said was original with him, most of what he said was reminding Jewish people of that time what they already believed, or claimed to believe. Also most of his teachings were self-evident, I mean they wouldn't surprise you, you would say 'Oh yes, of course!'
But you were born with your own conscience. You use your conscience to filter the Bible! You don't believe, for instance, in putting insolent children to death, you say 'No, that's dumb! I don't care if it -is- in the Bible, I'm not going to do that.' So your conscience is really superior to the Bible, the Bible is only a -help-. Based on this idea, I think if heaven actually even exists, you can get there by following your conscience. You know good from bad all by yourself!

In this instance, if heaven does exist then you should be alowed to enter. I think that eing turned away on the basis of not 'accepting the saviour as your lord' or whatever makes god sound egotistical, Do we have to say how amazing he is to bargain our way in? If your a good person, led a good life and just dont happen to beleive you shouldnt be punished.

If you have the opportunity to learn of Jesus, accept Him as Saviour and then turn your back on Him, it doesn't look too good for you. If you have never heard of Him, I believe the Lord will judge you for your actions and your heart during your lifetime.

UNLESS A MAN BE BORN AGAIN
HE WILL NOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE
and NONE CAN GO BUT BY HIM
and IF ANY COME ANY OTHER WAY
HE IS A THIEF AND A ROBBER
AND NO THIEF OR ROBBER CAN ENTER INTO HEAVEN
JESUS is THE ONY WAY
HE IS THE NARROW WAY THAT LEADS TO LIFE
and it is Written>>
"and there is a way that seemeth right unto man by the way there of is death"
Mans ways are not GODS WAYS
mans religions is not GOD
GOD IS TRUTH and LIFE
THERE IS NOTHING ELSE

if you dont believe in god, then they wont think there going t b judged by anyone wen they die. accepting jesus is a christian faith no other faith believes jesus is the way t heaven. myself i believe in greatly in god, i love him with all my heart, body and mind. i was christened as a child, not my choice. i never believed in god till summer 2005. i got 4 children none of which are christened, i dont wish to push somthing on them which they have no control over. god hgave us life and he gave us a mind to think for our selves. if my chuildren choose t believe wen they are older thats there choice, if they dont that is also there choice. i dont belive that any 1 wat ever religion should try and force som1 t believe there beliefs, weel find wat belief wat suits us. me ive no religion i believe and god and thats good enough for me. i love this site as i get t hear bout other religions, if i agree or not. i can debate with others. plus i learn so much from all people on ere. i cant decide wat religion is right or wrong. but they all cant be right. but god will judge others as he will judge me. so i love each and every person, as god loves me. hope this makes sense in some way.

the 1st ingredient I continuously ask you adult males is the place did your existence come from? If there is no God then you particularly are no longer. NO GOD NO US. As for toddlers whilst a sprint one is conceived a spirit baby from God enters into that physique that spirit is finished grown. an grownup spirit waiting to return right here and get a mortal physique it somewhat is an significant step in direction of salvation. a sprint one isn't a techniques from God and nonetheless recollects. some spirits are solid sufficient that they do no longer could desire to spend distinctive time right here proving themselves so whilst the die they circulate to paradise. they are appropriate in Christ. any baby that dies before the age off duty is prefect and stored in God's optimal kingdom. it somewhat is fake to have faith in any different case.

i don't care what the individual religions might say, if there were to be a god he would judge people on what type of people they are and not simply based on whether they believed in him or not.
