Is there some sort of online confirmation that's out there? I want to start confirmation, yet there isn't an adequate church near (Sundays I go to a Baptist church (they don't have confirmation), but I'll be going to a Catholic church next year, and I would like to be baptised & confirmed in the catholic church). Any advice/help?

I've never heard of "online confirmation". As far as I know you'll have to attend some classes first and schedule the confirmation in that church. If you know the specific church you'll be attending, though, you can always call them up and ask them specifically.

EDIT: Ignore Catholic-bashing trolls. There are quite a few of them skulking under rocks and leaving unwanted rhetoric instead of legitimate answers to people's questions in the Religion and Spirituality forum.

Uh, no, sorry, you have to do it the old-fashioned way. :-)

Just when you start going to the Catholic church(why can't you start going now, but the way? it'll take a while to get all of the information about the Catholic faith you'll need in order to be confirmed and every little bit of time will help), ask the priest about it, there should be a religious education. if you're too old for it, there's RCIA, which meets every so often and is an adult community that helps one to grow in the Catholic faith and you'll get confirmed at Easter Vigil - get baptized, take a profession of faith, and first communion. Reconciliation will be beforehand.

Just don't stress - yes, its a big deal, but its nothing too horrible. They won't kick you out because you don't know everything there is to know about Catholicism.

Good luck!

Getting Baptised & Confirmed is about joining the Church.
These are not just sacramental events, you can just order.
It's about making a commitment for the rest of your life.
You will need to sign up for RCIA starting ASAP.
You must be enroled & attending weekly for 6 months.
Baptism & Confirmation will take place at Easter.

My advice is to pray to God and ask Him why confirmation is not of Him and not in the bible!!! Stick with the baptists, the only thing they have wrong is that you DON'T need to be baptized to go to heaven. The catholic church is NOTHING short of the largest cult in the world!!! There are "good" believing catholics, but their church, as an institution... RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it is true. Is that confirmation enough for you?
