All I ask is for 20 minutes to take a nice hot shower while the father of my baby watches him (my son). Does this fall under the selfish category?

You shouldn't have to ask him to watch your son, he should offer to keep an eye on the tyke and do that without being asked.

Selfish of the father if he can't watch the son that long. Think about this: ALL sinfulness and evil is rooted in Selfishness. That's why you should consider the Bible's teaching about doing away with selfishness. "Sell all your possessions and follow me." -- Jesus Christ

no!!!!!!!

moms need some time off from time to time.... sometimes when you are a mom your shower time is your ONLY time off for a short break.

enjoy your shower and rest assured that you are not being selfish. you are being a great mom! you didn't leave the baby by himself. you left him under his father's supervision and you are refreshing your self for many more hours to come.

No not at all. I think the fact that you have to ask means that he (father of your baby) is being selfish.

No. It seems your babies father has the problem with selfishness and irresponsible behavior.

I don't see anything wrong with that. You still have to take some time out for you if you are a mother with responsibilities.

Yes, the bible says women are meant to serve men. But as an atheist, I say go ahead and make it 25 minutes.

How does this have anything to do with religion and spirituality.

He should watch him no matter what!
