What where you saved from?
What if the definition of pretending is to deceive or give a false appearance? What if pretending can fool men, but it cannot fool God? What if it's true that we are known by our fruits? What if Jesus was right in saying that not everyone who calls Him their Lord will enter heaven? (Mt. 7:21) What if Satan wants me to believe I can sin and get away with it? What if God is not only a God of love and forgiveness, but also a God of justice and wrath?

What if it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God? (Heb. 10:31) What if my love for the things of this world reveals that I do not belong to Christ? (1 Jn. 2:15) What if I really should examine myself to see if I am truly in the faith? What if I have not honestly been broken over my sins against God and completely surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ? What if I have broken God's Commandments thousands of times without even caring that it spits in the face of God? What if God holds me accountable for every lie, every lustful thought, and every time I felt hatred toward a person? What if God considers my lust to be adultery and my hatred to be murder? What if I'm actually ignoring the God who gives me my every breath? What if I don’t see myself as an enemy of God, who deserves nothing but eternity in hell? What if God does not desire for me to go to hell, and made a way for me to be forgiven? What if God took my punishment by dying on the cross in the person of Jesus Christ for my sins? What if this conviction in my heart is begging me to truly repent and put my faith in Jesus Christ alone to save me?

What if God had me read this for a reason? What if I'm pretending...

There are many people out there who lie to themselves. They want to believe that they are Christians, so they believe their own lies to be the truth. We know who the Father of Lies is and this is one of his tactics. He leads people into a false security of thinking that they are saved.

“Easy believism” is a somewhat derogatory term used by opponents of the view that one needs only to believe in Jesus in order to be saved. From this they conclude that those who hold to sola fide (faith alone) are saying that no corresponding need exists for a committed life of Christian discipleship as proof of salvation, but this is not true. Those who use the term easy believism are confusing justification—the one-time act of being declared righteous by God—with sanctification—the lifelong process by which the justified believer is conformed to the image of Christ. Those who call salvation by faith easy believism miss the fact that true conversion will always result in sanctification and a life of good works.

Most of them don't even understand the term. Two words sum up salvation: "Divine Sonship". God is a Father, fathering a family: The Church. This is the great gift of the Christian faith. Try to understand the meaning of "covenant". Through baptism, you are an adopted child of God, and He loves you like a son or daughter. You Father in heaven loves you, and your mother in heaven, Mary, loves you too. Sometimes one must take a breather from the black and white pages of the scripture, and just feel the family love that is The Family of God, The Church

Have you ever read Hebrews 12. If we belong to God and we sin then he will chasten us. That chastisement takes different forms. 1st God speaks to a person,s heart through the Holy
Spirit and tells them to behave their self. You are part of Gods Family, You have taken his name,Now behave yourself!
2nd If a child of God will not listen then God spanks. Now Gods spankings can take many forms. Financial lost, physical lost, even seperation from a Loved one ( King David)

But the fact of the matter is that if you truly belong to God then God will not let you get by with dragging his name in the mud.
He will speak,He will spank, and then finally if a child of God will not change or will not listen then God will kill them. Many Christians have gone to early graves because thay would not listen to the voice of God.

God speaks
God spanks
God seperates

If this does not happen then Hebrews 12 says that you are a bastard and not a son.

In other words you are not one of his. You have never been saved.

Friend please listen if you think you are saved and you habitually play around in sin and God never chastens you, then if I was you I would checkup on what salvation really is because you probably do not have it.

Everyone who dies will be resurrected. Until they are resurrected they are simply dead. No conscious thought. Even King David is still in his grave waiting his Resurrection. Jesus is the only one who has gone to heaven (remember he was resurrected) Read John 3:13 and is returning to the earth to establish God's Kingdom soon. Some will be resurrected to rule with him then and the rest of mankind will be resurrected at the white throne resurrection. ALL will have opportunity to bow their knee to Christ as Lord at that time and acknowledge that there is only one eternal God regardless of how they died or what they believed. Don't worry - no one will be eternally tormented. Only a sadistic God would do that. That is a false teaching from false teachers. You can be assured that God knows exactly what he is doing and that his plan and purpose for man will be done. Until then, put God first and obey him. That is all he asks. It IS a love thing.

What if God freed you from sin?

What if God freed you from the law (what you refer to as "God's commandments")

What if God says that you are to put your faith in Him, and He will take care of it all from there?

What if God places in you a new heart of flesh to replace the heart of stone?

What if God places His Holy Spirit in you, which He also calls "his law" which Paul points out is a law of faith; a law of the Spirit that leads to life, seeing as you have been freed from the law of sin and death?

What if your old man is crucified with Christ?

What if your life is not hid in Christ?

What if it is the Spirit in God that now dwells in you that produces the fruits of that Spirit?

Those who do not show forth the fruits are those who profess and think they are Christians, but are not. They are those who believed a false gospel, and put their faith in something or someone other than the One who died for them.

GOd says we will know them BORN AGAIN by their fruits, THEIR ACTIONS. IF one claims to be born again and does not act like God says to act, being like JEsus Christ, then they are not born again at all, only wearing a false lablel, either to deceive us, or they are decieved themselves.
God says in 1 John 3:9, those born of God cannot willfully sin, as we have the mind of Christ. We cant sin deliberately, as we have the nature of Christ, once born again, and His mind and very excellent character. Therefor we will be reviled as Sin jsut like He is. Yes, our behaviour does show if we truly love Christ or not, and if we trust God to take care of us. WHen we do it OUR way, we are making ourselves our own god, and that is making our own selves an idol. We will be destoryed for it if we dont give that up and all other sin.
And when born again, we will want to do that, and count it all as joy. So dont label all Christians by those wearing a so called label. ITs only in how we act that says if we are truly Gods child or not. and God knows our heart. PPl can fool other ppl, but noone fools God. God sent JEsus to not only save us, but to show us how to be overcomers over sin, and the the power of His Spirit, we can do just that, as we are commanded to do. ITs not merely a suggestion to pursue Jesus and be like Him. IT IS A COMMAND.
Jesus gave us His all, how can we consider giving Him any less???
I dont believe you are pretending to love God, becasue of the questions you have been asking all along. and even if you were pretending, it would do you know good. Truth always comes out and God always knows anyway.
I believe you ask questions as you do to cause ppl to think and not just do all that others tell them.
and I have been blessed by you more than once. SO if you think you are fooling anyone, I know you have only fooled yourself, case anyone that says what you do is a man after Gods own heart.
God bless you.

This is something you have to work through every day of your life. You will almost always have doubts creep in your daily life, and you need to see them for what they are. That's why it's a good thing to be in a small group or devotionals group with people you trust and with whom you can be accountable. These should be non-judgemental people who are interested in all of you growing in your faith. Do not despair--there are potholes along the way but stick with it!

I can't say who you know. The Christians I know love Jesus and desire to live according to His ways.

Rather simple answer.

Nominal Christians live how they want. Real ones live by the Word and the Spirit.
