I'm a freshman in college and sometimes it feels like everyone around me is having sex like it's an extracurricular activity! I believe you should be in a serious relationship and date for at least 6 months before you go there. Maybe I'm just a little naive, but guys, do you honestly respect girls that go for it two or three months into the relationship?

Today is my last day at college. I'm 23 and both a twin and a virgin.
Sure, I once lost a guy 'cuz he needed sex to stay long-term, but guys *will* respect you if you wait and many guys have wanted to be with me even if though they understand they have no chance of sex. Just dating a girl that's untouchable to other guys makes them feel priviledged. And they'll be drawn to you because being with you means that they're a special guy.

I don't like to judge people but its hard to respect someone who gives it up so fast, I'm still virgin and I'd say maybe a year a couple should be together before going all the way.

I respect her for it, I wouldnt see why I wouldnt. I also think the first answer is respectable, I mean everyone has their opinions. He wants to save it for the one he loves. I dont really have a real preference, if the girl I'm seeing is a girl I really like, and she wants to wait, I'm all for it. But if she wants sex, then I guess I have to oblige. I wont force her into anything she isnt up to doing, I can wait...................

I am keeping myself for marriage.
I think pre-marital sex, extra-marital sex, polygamy and polyandry are all immoral.

at my age i do not expect it but would not think less of the lady if we had it on the first date ---- but would also be prepared to wait for marriage with the right lady --- its up to the individuals what they do and i think that its been the same for many many years --- have fun
