run them under warm water
hot water wouldn't help because a sudden change in temperature can be painful to your hands
put on some mittens and jump into bed! :]
or get a hot cup of water and put your hands on it
it'll feel better :)

it seems odd but... the temp of your hands (and feet) is due to how much blood-flow you have. constrictions of blood-flow occur in healthy people in the elbows and knees.

try an experiment:

experiment 1: fill your bathroom sink with very warm water. Dip your elbows into it, hold for a min or two. (the warm water will dilate the constricted vessels, more blood- more heat)

experiment 2: take an old pair of wool socks, snip off the ends and pull them up your arms over your elbows. wear under your shirt, esp at night when sleeping.

Slowly bring them to your normal body temperature. If you do it too fast, you can cause nerve damage. Start with cool water, and gradually increase the temperature. You don't want to feel like it's burning.

get some blood flowing! turn on the heater and rub them together. if they are always cold even when the rest of your world isnt, see a doc. you may have circulation problems.

try running them under some hot water, or sitting on them.

Also rubbing them together would be good too
