No. The white students hung nooses in a tree. The black students physically assaulted the white students.
Although the white students were incredibly stupid and ignorant for hanging nooses in a tree - they did not put their hands on anyone. The black students crossed the line when they physically assaulted another person. Had the black students just hung a sign insulting the white students on the tree (instead of beating them up) - they would not be in the trouble they are in now.
The black students got arrested and charged when they took it to the next level - physical violence.
Not because of racial profiling.
Racial profiling - is a police officer arresting a Muslim in an airport - for the sole reason that he's a Muslim in an airport.

I still don`t know why the white students weren`t arrested for some sort of threatening behaviour.... I mean that`s pretty cut and dry hanging nooses.
The black students just should have done something `symbolic` back like stuffing white hoods with eyes cut out through the nooses. Now that would have been more powerful than assaulting them.

they didn't stop their car because they were black, or stop them walking on the street because they were white kids out at night, they arrested them because THEY BEAT A KID. profiling is basin POSSIBLE crime off of race, not actaully charging the people WITH WHAT THEY DID.
