I have noticed that a lot of Americans have emigrated to France Britain and other European countries particularly France. Whats soo appealing in France/Europe that has Americans emigrating there.

Also which Americans are likely to leave America permanently and why. Im asking this because im a foreign student in the USA and one classmate of mine (American) told me she doesnt like america and wants to emigrate to Brazil,,,I never got her explination for why she hates America but I have always beleived that Americans love their country and would never leave it but even in my home continent there is a growing number of Americans some of whome are wealthy middle class who want nothing to do with America.

You just aren't noting the rich.
While the United States pushes more and more socialist programs, the rich leave.

The same happens whenever a country goes socialist. The rich leave. Why stay? They know what's going to happen. They're going to get fleeced/robbed. They leave.

Who can blame them? They leave.

In addition, there are those who are of less status financially who decide they don't like the way the U.S. is and leave for a time.

They come back. In a recent poll, the U.S. topped every other nation in the number of people who are proud of their country. We do love it. But a vocal minority loves to hate the U.S.

No one that is successful likes socialism unless they make money off the process or are self-destructive.

you will earn a PhD in the US (8-12 years of school, in all hazard 2-6 extra of postdocs staring on the sphere) and then persist with for a professor interest in France. you will would desire to be fluent in French, have good connections on the college (maximum eu faculties are incredibly incestual while it includes hiring college) and not take out plenty or any loans, because of the fact it won't pay ok. the opportunities of having a school place in the US are between 20% and 5% staring on the sphere you're in; it extremely is worse for buying a job in Europe.

I know many people I talk too are unhappy with the way America run their immigrants, so they leave? Which is extremely hypocritical and idiotic. I love America but I would LOVE to live in a different country for a few years to see life from other culture. However I wouldn't want to live their permanently, I would want to go back to my roots which is maybe what a lot of Americans are doing now.

At last count there were 165,000 Americans living in the country of France. Most are business folks. Hardly enough to qualify for "soooo many".

I was born in Europe and i live in the USA
and i can tell you, it is a great place to be.

I find it strange why you don't ask your
Friend why she wants to move to Brazil?

You are absolutely right when you say
Americans like their country, every one
i know, does.

Americans likely to leave USA permanently
are most likely retired immigrants, going
back to their birth place.

France is a beautiful country, and great
culture it is not surprising if Americans
like it.

I don't believe your question was a honest one, in any case this is my answer.

The only people I personally know who have moved to France did so because they married men who live in France. One of them has moved back to the U.S.A. along with her husband and child.

As someone who longs to emmigrate to another country....

1. There is so many laws here, this country is built by lawyers, you cant even wipe your bum w/out getting in trouble.
2. There is always someone hanging over your should to tell you how to raise your kids, how to do your job, and live your life, alot of beurocrats esp cant leave well enough alone, they have to f*** w/ your life.
3. Surprisingly alot of americans are prejudiced, so if you have an interracial relationship esp, or do anything else, you get alot of crap from people, it gets tiring having people constantly question your choices and belittle your family.
4. Unfortunately b/c of the governement, there is no longer an american dream for most americans, only if we want to have 1-2 kids, 2 hard working parents, never own a home, and go into debt by avg 150,000+, then work till your 70
5. Every year the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and there is ALOT of stigma attatched to being poor, broke, homeless, or in need, and many many americans say WHY should I have to pay for other people's crap?! I dont want MY taxes going to others in need! They are only on welfare b/c they are lazy, blah, blah blah! Basically no one cares about their fellow human beings anymore, and if you get in THEIR way you had better watch out.
6. Their is alot of crime and violence here, they teach us how violent other countries are, yet many people from those other violent countries are shocked at our levels. I have alot of foreign friends...
7. Finally the decadence of a culture/society is indicative of the emmiseration of the proletariate, or the fall of a society/culture... we are decaying rapidly, and so full of hate, I dont want my children raised in a country where people are profoundly ungrateful, incredibly selfish and cruel, fat, lazy, GREEDY like hell. This country is falling apart, familes are torn apart, no longer valued and in an effort to please everybody all the time we ruin most people at the bottom of the pile/pyramid in society. The name of the game is ME ME ME, and screw you screw your life, your kids, and everything...
8. To top all this off Americans are increasingly STRESSED out, we work longer harder, and for less and less as inflation goes up. It used to be that a dad could work, mom could afford to stay home with her 4 kids and raise our future generations, but not anymore, so all of us and our kids are suffering. We are increasingly mentally, physically and emotionally unhealthy. it permeates everything and everybody, you cant get away from it.

And Im american! So is all my family. I just want to live in peace. I dont want to have people/governement constantly barraging me w/ insults and hate. I want to have a little house, work a job and be LEFT ALONE, esp by the gov.
I love many things about our country, but after studying other countries, world geo, politics, economics, etc for several years, I have to look at the pay off of moving to another country and it looks pretty good. Mostly I want my children to be happy, barefoot in the sand, left alone, grateful for what they have, kind to others, and be able to love life. I will always love america, but my kids come first, forever, and always.
